My training method is pretty simple, I give you the instructions and insight on the technique while you list the upsides and downsides to the jutsu.
Example:
Advantages:
- Requires no hand seals
- Useable as a full body surge to dispel some Genjutsu.
- Has numbing effects to those vulnerable to Lightning techniques.
Disadvantages:
- Isn't destructive to destroy high ranked structures and lacks heavy damage.
- Lacks range as a widespread attack.
- Not suitable to defend against ninjutsu attacks.
Now lets jump into training, perform Rabbit → Rat → Horse → Ram hand seals and slam your hands on the ground while channeling a massive pool of raiton chakra beneath your target. Release the said pool of chakra into a gigantic pillar of lightning, shocking anything caught above it and can inflict some serious damage. You have the freedom to make the effected area bigger or smaller as you see fit.

Ishida looks at his senpai perform the technique he was about to learn. He asked him for the technique's advantages and disadvantages. How it could be beneficial and detrimental in battle. Ishida rubbed his chin with his fingers, the attack was useful in that it could paralyze his opponents, and allowed Ishida the opportunity. It also seemed like it would be good for repelling Genjutsu, which would increase his Genjutsu defense arsenal. The attack however was not widespread and it only ranged from Short-Mid. Meaning he would have to channel the lightning through a medium for it to go farther. It also wasn't a great defense, seeing as how Ninjutsu could simply attack him, however he could use it to charge the enemy whenever there was a kink in his combinations. As Ishida thought long and hard, he relayed this to his Senpai, making sure he knew that the technique was helpful in that it could help create a deadly combinations, as well as how it wasn't a good defense, and that it would likely not work as well on lightning specialists. After Ishida had completed his explanation of the attack, his senpai instructed him in how to create a different attack. to follow up with stronger attacks in order to defeat them. He got up from his tree stump and walked forward. He performed the hand seals Rabbit → Rat → Horse → Ram and slammed his hand against the ground, the lightning raced towards the tree behind his senpai and he created an extremely large pillar of lightning. The lightning cut through the tree breaking it completely apart, it went straight up into the air, the lightning caused create disturbances in the sky as well, even electrocuted some birds. Ishida was amazed by it's power taking a step back and looking at his senpai.

Next, perform a Snake hand seal and channel your Raiton chakra to either your hand or mouth. With shape manipulation, expel your lightning in a form of spear that shoot outwards at extreme speeds. Whats special about this one is that it can branch off multiple spears from the main one, allowing it to spread to wider ranges.

Ishida listened to his master and tried to perform the task. He didn't want to expel it from his mouth but he did know that, if he were to expel it from his mouth it would allow his hands the freedom of attack simultaneously. So Ishida performed the Snake Seal, and channeled the chakra to his mouth. He turned around and, moments later a spear of lightning came out, the lightning branched off into five more spears and made quick work of the bushes behind Ishida. Ishida looked back at his senpai awaiting the next technique he should learn.

Once you've gathered enough chakra, clap your hands directed forwards to unleash all your gathered energy, sending a massive thunderbolt your target, the feeling should be almost like lightning jumping out of your hands. The impact of the bolt can cause massive destruction enough to create a giant crater, so it is most wise not to use it close to your target.

Ishida listened to his master reply, and tell him about the attack he should perform next. He gathered chakra in both his hands, the man had told him it was similar to Chidori so it should be easy enough. He walked away from his Senpai, due to the warning of it's destruction he aimed it at a large boulder fifty meters near him. He gathered energy to his palms until he started to feel pain. He then clapped his hands and what emerged was a massive thunderbolt. The thunder bolt raced towards the crater and it exploded into sand. The heat from the sand was even enough to create glass. Ishida was amazed, the pure power of the attack was shaking him he looked back at his senpai, his mouth wide open awaiting the next technique he should perform.

Ishida listened to his masters instructions and performed the hand seals, Ox → Rabbit → Monkey. He could feel a surge of energy, specifically Raiton Chakra to his hands. Like his teacher said it was like Chidori, but very different. The energy was so concentrated it felt like an extension of his body. The lighting blade, was his hand.. He ran towards the tree near him and cut it down. The flash of light was bright, and the tree slide off its foundation. Ishida looked back at his senpai amazed by the technique.

Next this is quite similar to the double Chidori we learnt previously, perform Raikiri you just learned and can put your hands together to split your raiton chakra evenly between the two. This causes the Raikiri split to 2 hands. Of course this lessens the power but great for rapid melee attacks which you can do freely with.

Ishida listened to his master and performed Rakiri as usual. He then split the chakra to both hands, the energy wasn't as concentrated but he could feel a boost in speed. He ran around his senpai twice, and towards the tree in front of him. He put his hands out and again here it was proof it wasn't as powerful however he could definitely use it for quick attacks, he hands went into the tree like silly putty. He walked back towards his senpai awaiting the next technique.

The next jutsu is virtually unbeatable if you pull it off on the right opponent. However, it requires certain conditions and that is bad weather, or more accurately; using thunderstorms to enhance your own lightning jutsu. Thankfully for you, I already set it up while you were practicing your last technique. What I did was simply send a powerful long range Fire jutsu to the sky to heat up the atmosphere, therefore creating the thunderstorm you need. If you don't have the suitable Fire techniques you could have your allies or summons to help you out.
So, now that we have the thunderstorm, perform Chidori and connect your raiton chakra to the sky, that should cause the electrical charge in the air to heed your command. Once you've taken control, shape the lightning to a dragon head, the lightning itself is made naturally, therefore will travel as fast as natural lightning as well. You can then drop it on your target by motioning your Chidori, that would cause a massive explosion struck in a blink of an eye, ideally you wouldn't want to use it up close or you'll be fried too
When its used once, the thunderclouds then disperse therefore, making it a oneshot technique, so think carefully when you want to use your ace.

Ishida smiled the technique his senpai spoke of was truly amazing. Ishida immediately began, he performed Chidori and raised his hand into the sky, he connected the lightning in his hand to the lightning in the sky. He could feel his lightning race towards the sky, and down came a thunderbolt, Ishida quickly transformed the shape of the thunderbolt into a Dragon head and aimed it at the hill one hundred meters away from Ishida's current location. The thunder fall down extremely fast and destroyed the hill. He was amazed the devastation it caused was truly magnificent. But already he could fell the amount of chakra taken from him. He was sweating and tired, but eager to continue. He looked back towards his senpai, ready for another technique.

This technique is pretty unique too. Once your ready, perform Ram → Horse → Snake → Tiger and let a surge of massive raiton chakra burst out from every corner of your body, in a form of light. This light blinds anyone who sees it, making it a perfect distract to attack or escape and even serve as cover for genjutsu, making your illusion less perceivable.

Ishida listened to his master instruction, and performed the appropriate hand seals. He then channeled his chakra into Raiton energy, and channeled it out of his body it resulted in a bright flash of lightning. The light was enough to blind his senpai momentarily, but it did not do damage and cost him chakra. He looked at his senpai, awaiting the next technique.

Ishida listened to his masters instructions and smiled, finally another destructive attack. He enjoyed the moments he had with his senpai so much, he brought a cake, a unusually large cake. Ishida channeled his chakra to his palms and he expelled Raiton Chakra, what emerged was a large 120 degree blast of lightning flying towards the cake. As the cake exploded, Ishida smiled and looked at his senpai's face.

Begin standing side by side with Derp while you perform Raikiri on whichever hand is next to Derp while Derp also does the same. Progress by connecting your Raikiri's together to form a single chain of sorts attached between you 2. You can then run together and slice anything the chain passes through.

Ishida listened as he stood side by side with Derp, they both performed Chidori and created a chain, they stood a meter away from each other and ran to a tree, the chain chopped the tree in half. Ishida was amazed by the difficulty to dodge. But it took a little to much preparation for his taste. Ishida walked back to hi senpai for the next jutsu.
