Yes, they won't be in it at all. Sasuke will cover Naruto's Avatar in Susano'o and they'll fight that way.

Actually a good idea, shadow clones retain memory, If he undoes the jutsu he could gain insight on the genjutsu and with Sasuke nd Kakashi's brains they could find a weakness

why do you guys assume that IT activation time is eternal, it never said in the manga that once IT is activated It will continue to be activated. there is a possibility that it will deactivate but keep everyone in the gengutsu still, anyways thats how I view it, since it was a flash, which the light puts ppl into the gengutsu. I don't expect that flash to last that long.

good point, it indeed might not work this way.. but even if it does, poofing the shadowclones could provide them with invalueble information on how the technique works, and more importantly, how to break free out of it.
