I luther will be your teacher and the one with the responsibility to teach you the techniques and help you master the element, while making sure you understand all the workings and uses of It. Being this our first class I want you to tell me in details some information to the element you will be learning. I have your training thread subscribed to and would be notified when you reply, I ask that you don’t bug me or remind me for training, unless 6 days has passed since my last reply, at which point you should send me a VM/PM.

In this case you are learning fire.

1. Fire release, or Katon. Is as the name suggests the element of fire. This element is one of the basic five elemental natures and can be utilized by almost anyone with enough training even those without an affinity or bloodline limitation that ties in to it. It's applications usually involve superheating chakra inside the stomach and lungs before expelling it in the forms of streams, balls of fire, or waves of fire.

2. Fire release is special in that it can be used in a variety of ways. While it can be of course released as just a fire blast attack that in itself has interesting properties, the way fire behaves makes it suitable for blinding opponents to your true location, altering the terrain and even the weather conditions when using high level versions. Also it's been noted that some users mainly those from the Sarutobi clan use a variant of fire release that actually releases superheated ash and dust that can be made to explode remotely if needed.

3. Fire release is strong to wind as it burns up all the oxygen powering the wind jutsu, it's weak to water as the water will smother and extinguish the fire. It can also be combined with nearly every other basic element. With earth release one could create molten lava or mud, with water release one can create steam. With wind release one can create stronger fire.

Apologies but that is what I know of fire release, I believe I mentioned the conditions for the usage of fire release, which is traditionally super heating chakra in the stomach and lungs and then releasing it. In regards to real Narutoverse fire I believe only the oxidizing agent as you describe it, is required. For example one could not create fire in a vacuum, well they most likely could via chakra but the lack of oxygen may cause the fire to fizzle out prematurely.

Advantages : This jutsu can release multiple fireballs allowing more than one target to be struck. The jutsu seems to require no handseals making it fast to use. Being able to release multiple fire balls also allows for terrain advantage if you were to direct one in a way that it's hidden behind the other.

Disadvantages : It's generally quite a weak technique and relatively easy to counter. Each additional fireball you use splits the damage of the total technique making it's advantage also a weakness. Since the jutsu originates from the user there is not much advantage in terms of angles of attack, unless your opponent is blinded they will see it coming easily.

Orochimaru would study his sensei creating four shadow clones of himself and asking Orochimaru to use the technique he described. Following instructions Orochimaru would begin by kneading chakra in his stomach while inhaling deeply filling his lungs with oxygen and then with chakra superheating the oxygen inside his body before opening his mouth and spewing forwards a fireball, quickly followed by three more aimed at different locations, the first fireball is aimed at the floor directly in front of the clone causing the earth and dust to be disturbed angled upwards to momentarily block the sensei clones field of vision whilst the following three are aimed one at his sternum, one at his head and one at his groin region, the fireballs are spewed in quick succession meaning each shall strike a mere moment after the dust and earth was disturbed.

Advantages : This jutsu can essentially do what I just did with the fire and wind combo meaning it'll use less moves. Also by infusing ninja weapons with the fire it gains an additional ability. Finally it can be ignited at will making it a useful surprise attack.

Disadvantages : It's generally quite a weak technique and relatively easy to counter. Each additional shuriken you use splits the damage of the total technique making it's advantage also a weakness. Since the jutsu originates from the user there is not much advantage in terms of angles of attack, unless your opponent is blinded they will see it coming easily.

Orochimaru would listen to his sensei and follow his instructions infusing fire chakra in to a handful of shuriken before launching them at the trees in the distance, focusing on the fire chakra inside the shuriken he would give the chakra a small nudge, a spark if you would. Causing the shuriken to ignite in flames as they slammed in to the trees setting them ablaze in a small fire after thudding loudly in to the trunk. By combining the technique with this jutsu the moment they are thrown the speed and force of the shuriken is increased several times slamming deeply in to the tree with increased force before setting ablaze.

Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

Advantages : This jutsu can essentially do what I just did with the first jutsu but only has the option to fire a single fireball. The advantage of the single fireball is that it doesn't have a split in damages. It can also be used in elemental combo's quickly as it seems to need no handseals.

Disadvantages : It's generally quite a weak technique and relatively easy to counter. Being able to only fire a single fireball removes the advantage of multiple targets and angles of attack. Since the jutsu originates from the user there is not much advantage in terms of angles of attack, unless your opponent is blinded they will see it coming easily.

Orochimaru would listen to his sensei and follow his instructions focusing fire chakra in to his gullet and kneading the chakra internally before opening his mouth and spitting forth a moderately sized fireball aimed at the treeline once more. The fireball would slam in to the trees with considerable power leaving a large scorch mark on the first tree struck bursting in to a small blast as it did. By combining the technique with this one the speed and overall power is increased thanks to the wind.

Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

A small note. This whole training method of filling out the form isn't really teaching me anything, I feel more like I'm being quizzed on what I know. I would like to learn more than I already know sensei perhaps you could add comments to each technique instructing me on what you know of the jutsu?

OK, from my previous training's, you know how I like it done. I post, you break down explaining it and whats good or bad about it. Doesn't have to be the same for each jutsu just convince me you comprehend the technique. If you are unsure of a jutsu feel free to ask questions and I will gladly reply, also if I think you may have missed something or just want to add my own two cents about the jutsu I will do so. If I feel you truly understand the jutsu and could use it out on your own properly, You will get you a "dat a' boy", and I'll post the next set. Alright, lets begin..

OI, ok ok...I read ALL that...why did I do this to myself??? xD For a second I thought I was reading wind training or something. Seriously I think I read more wind jutsu than fire. Lets correct that shall we?

Short to mid range, fire balls, fire streams..or my fav part, aiding in taijutsu. Lots of people create techniques trying to add damage to tai when this jutsu add's 20 damage like a boss. Under used and under rated in my opinion.

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

Next we have another very under used jutsu. Explosive gas for the love of so6p's. You can literally fill up to mid range with explosive freaking gas. There outta be a law or something. Anywho, that's the last time I'll do that. That's just an idea of how I like to be replied to. Now, your turn.

Okay the first technique is very interesting it seems highly diverse and the ability to augment physical strikes would no doubt be incredibly useful. Especially if you could combine that with another technique that made your opponent more flammable for example covering him in explosive gas from the second. On that note the second jutsu seems mostly supplementary but in a very good way. Being able to cover a chosen area in flammable gas not only allows you to have greater terrain control but if used correctly it would also really inhibit your opponent's arsenal as using the wrong jutsu in that gas will cause it to ignite.

The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame.The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

The first is useful since it requires no handseals. Other than that it's not really that special just an upgrade to some of the D ranks in terms of power. I believe the second is the Uchiha's signature fire release technique. Which grows progressively stronger most likely as we encounter the higher ranked variants. It's a useful technique since it can vary between a stream or projectile attack depending on the situation you're in and what you prefer to use. The third is a bit weird. A lighter? Like what self respecting master of fire release would ever carry around a lighter, I'm guessing this jutsu was Shikamaru's or something. Not sure why you'd need a lighter for a jutsu but jokes aside the preparation time of getting a lighter out alone makes this not really worth it unless you used the lighter as a ruse.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with Wind Release: Divine Wind to create a tornado of flames, or with Wind Release: Godly Wind from the Mountains to release a massive inferno. The stream of fire can be created by stomping the ground (running across the ground in this case) or by spewing the flames (which will form an airborne ring of flames that will travel towards the enemy).

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.

Description: The user exhales a flame breath from their mouth after making the tiger hand seal. This technique can be used in conjunction with Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet to ignite the projectiles fired by the latter technique, making it more devastating.
