After having Senpai had returned with a change of clothes, Barragan was tossed some more scrolls; containing more useful information. Going through the scrolls, Barragan quickly analyzed both of the techniques and thought to himself

"The first technique isn't useful if I don't follow up with a Wind technique. The technique is just a fireball ._."

Completely disappointed with the techniques, Barragan tried to inform Shadou of his dismay at what the scrolls contained but to no avail. Shadou had already begun to weave handseals, in an attempt to attack him for reasons god knows why. This was the last straw.. Barragan would no longer allow his Senpai to continuously abuse him, attacking him for no reason..

"I've had enough!"

Completely frustrated, Barragan channeled his chakra to his lungs and spewed out a stream of fire, setting the earth in front of him ablaze. Not wasting any time, Barragan weaved the Tiger → Snake → Ram, channeling his Fuuton chakra to his lungs and releasing a vortex of wind. This wind was directed towards Shadou, and when it came into contact with the fiery earth; violent flames launched themselves forward towards Shadou. These flames would cover the mud slide, and harden the mud, stopping Shadou's jutsu in its tracks.

Acting swiftly, Barragan quickly channeled his chakra to his lungs, and spewed out a large fireball. Similar to Katon: Zukokku, this technique too acted in a similar way; compressing chakra in the epicenter of the fireball. Around the same time, Shadou would release his Suiton technique and upon making contact with one another, the fireball would develop into a maelstrom of flames and subsequently develop into an outburst of steam.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique

Ofcourse, Shadous Suiton Wall would remain standing due to elemental advantage but overall, the steam would temporarily restrict their site. Looking at the destruction he had caused and thinking back on what he had stated earlier, Barragan decided to change his mind. He was not going to quit.. He would complete his Katon Training under the tutelage of Shadou and in the end, kill his Senpai.

"Hurry up Senpai, give me the next scroll. I can't be waiting all day"​

Oh, and I posted an "update" of sorts on my profile. Felt ill yesterday,and I still kind of do, but I'm going to do my best to reply to my students today. The update is just in case I end up bedridden and don't reply for a few days.

"Oh, you in a hurry to go somewhere? Cause we've still got a little ways to go. Oh, in regards that first Jutsu, you don't have to perform it in collaboration with another Wind Jutsu. That's already covered in the cost of the Jutsu. And it's not "just another fireball". You're igniting the ground, then using Wind to lift and blow the charred ground into the target, which lights the Wind on Fire, causing a stream of Fire. I know it doesn't exactly make it unique, but the fact the variation exists is cool if you ask me. It'd be boring if all these Jutsu were literal carbon copies of each other, and even though it feels that way, even the smallest variation to the same concept is worth while. Now, moving on."

Once he was done, Shayde searched through his pockets and pouches for the next batch of Jutsu, and noticed how there would be one Jutsu left. Instead of delaying Barragan's completion of A-Rank Fire delayed, he tossed three scrolls into the air.

Description: After performing the hand seal Tiger the user compresses a large amount of Chakra built up inside their body, before instead expelling it in the form of a number of dragon head-shaped fireballs. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in addition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

Once Barragan had grabbed the scrolls, Shayde made 2 Clones, as he was unsure if Barragan had access to it for the second technique, which involved a collaborative effort from 3 people.

"Okay, when you're working multiple partners, things can get a bit dicey. So I only want you to perform the Collaboration Technique and use it to attack the surrounding area. Once that's done, the clones can be dispersed, and you can use the other two techniques how you see fit. I really like the last one. Pretty iconic if you ask me, what with it being a dragon-shaped fireball."

As he had given Barragan free reign to do as he wished, Shayde was more than aware of the fact he could be hit, accidental or not. As a precaution, he gathered a large amount of Water Style Chakra, but performed no Seals or prepared to manipulate the Chakra. It was merely a backup in case Barragan's Jutsu did a bit too much damage, especially when one considers the fact that the third Jutsu could be used as a catalyst for the Kirin technique...

Btw that video for that Pillar technique actually helped out a lot because the technique does not really clarify if the pillars are stationary or whether they're launched at the opponent as projectiles.​

Upon being tossed the scrolls, Barragan quickly skimmed through them and to his amazement, these three techniques were on a completely different level than the ones he had to learn a while ago. To be precise, these techniques were more versatile and could be exploited to a certain degree. Well aware that his Senpai already possessed the ability to perform a series of techniques in order to defend against Katon, Barragan decided not to target Shayde this time. Shayde would be killed eventually but not now... there was no room for failure. U_U

Barragan quickly began to channel his chakra to his left leg, and converted it into Katon chakra. Not wasting any time, Barragan stomped his left foot on the ground and released this chakra, shaping the chakra into three 8m pillars of fire, evenly spaced out. These pillars would proceed to move towards the forest that was present at Barragans right, engulfing numerous trees in the process.

"Now Garuda..."

Senpai Shayde had already performed his Shadow Clone technique to help out with Garuda, much to Barragans dismay who firmly believed that he could perform Garuda all alone. Regardless of that, Barragan eventually agreed. He stood side by side with the clones, and the trio proceeded to weave the Dog → Rat → Tiger and channeled their Katon chakra to their lungs; releasing three violent streams of intense fire. Although initially separate, the streams of fire proceeded to combine with one another to form a flaming dragon.

"Finally, it is time"

Barragan weaved the Fire handseal and proceeded to channel his chakra to his lungs, building up a large amount of Katon chakra inside his body. Compressing this chakra, Barragan shaped it into multiple dragons before releasing them as Fire projectiles. The dragons were manipulated by Barragan to go straight upwards into the sky, in order to set up the necessary conditions for the formation of clouds and eventually rain.

"Who doesn't like a little bit of rain?"

Okay, thanks for waiting and sorry for the delay. Still feeling a bit down, but I I've left you waiting long enough.

And I'm glad linking that video helped. I recommend looking up all the techs on the Wiki, especially if you haven't seen them before in the series. Sometimes though the Jutsu are from a game, and you have to go digging, which can be a pain, but it helps when you're able to visualize what you are learning.

One after another, Barragan performed all of the techniques with ample initiative and gusto, even going as far to work with Shayde's clones for the collaboration technique, so when he was done, Shayde felt as though Barragan had brought a tear to his eye... Wait, no, it was merely the rain, the aftermath of the Dragon-shaped fireballs affecting the weather with their tremendous heat. Shayde almost lost himself to the sound of nature itself being forced to tears, when a cackling roar tore through him and lights danced through the sky. They would have to finish up quickly, or else they'd be at the mercy of the thunderstorm created by Barragan's technique.

"Well... Since I don't have a penchant for the Lightning Element, I can't use Kirin to displace the storm currently gathering above our heads. So it looks like we'll have to pick up the pace if we want to finish this now. So here."

"First is another generic streaming-type technique, however, with this one you can control some of the aspects of the technique. For example, you can make the stream wider the further it travels, allowing it to cover a wider area. Of course you can always keep it narrower, if you want to keep the Jutsu more precise. As for the second and third Jutsu, they utilize Ninja Scrolls, like Sealing Jutsu, to quickly materialize either a dragon or a tiger, depending on which one you use. They're almost identical, except for the fact one's a oversized cat, the other is a mythical beast."

Being tossed over another trio of scrolls, Baraggan quickly skimmed through each of them; taking note of the major details. Then, like he had previously done, Baraggan set out to perform each of the technique in order to prove his capability.

Wasting little time, Baraggan quickly converted his raw chakra into Katon chakra through Nature Transformation and proceeded to channel it to his lungs. Then by weaving a single handseal, Baraggan inhaled air; kneading the chakra and exhaled out a stream of fire directed towards the forest nearby. Manipulating the fire, Baraggan made it so that the fire would expand as it moved along, burning more and more trees and destroying the homes of numerous creatures.

Moving on, Baraggan channeled his chakra into the scroll that he had been handed over earlier. Unlocking the seal placed upon the scroll, Baraggan released a considerably large dragon, composed almost entirely of flames. This dragon would fly upwards into the sky in hopes of setting the sky ablaze :|

Acting quick, Baraggan pulled out the third scroll. In a rather similar manner to the technique he had just performed, Baraggan channeled his chakra into the scroll, unlocking the seal that had been placed upon it and releasing a tiger composed entirely of flames. This tiger, being manipulated by Baraggan was commanded to race towards a giant rock roughly 5m from Baraggan and would proceed to explode, engulfing the boulder upon making contact.

"Okay, that was great and this has been fun, but now it's time for the finale. You've got 3 Jutsu left, and a surprise waiting once you're done, so let's get right down to this."

Shayde produced the last 3 scrolls that Barragan would need to complete his training in Katon. He juggled them in one hand for a few moments, contemplating how quickly this training had been completed. Of course Barragan was pretty far, but that didn't alter the fact that it all seemed to be a blur. After a few moments of reflection, Shayde threw the scrolls at Barragan, one at a time.

(Katon: Fuuton Ken Katon Bakufuu no Jutsu) Fire Release: Wind and Fire Blast Technique

Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth in a massive stream of intense flames, after doing the Rat → Ox → Dog → Horse → Monkey → Boar → Tiger hand seals. The technique has an enourmous range and can cover a huge area. When it was used by Madara Uchiha, the massive scale of the technique was such that, in comparisson, his incomplete Susanoo seemed small. The main advantage of the technique is that it can be used to burn large areas in an effect in everything similar to a flamethrower.

"So the first is your standard Fire and Wind combo, and it achieves pretty much what you'd expect it to. It becomes more resistant to Water, and would be large enough to engulf a large area, considering the base Fire Jutsu for the combo. Only real drawback is that it requires a second party, since you're dealing with massive quantities of both Element, so it's not really something you can do one after the other. Now... This would usually be the point where I'd make a clone, and he'd perform the Jutsu with you, but I think you get the picture. It's another Fire Jutsu with a large area of effect, only with the advantage of being resistant to Water, thanks to the influence of Wind. Besides, the next technique is totally better and more iconic than that Jutsu, and they both achieve the same thing. Total annihilation of the users surroundings. Speaking of which, the second Jutsu is a personal favourite, not only because

It was finally the end of his Katon Training which had taken almost 3 years, starting under the tutelage of the former Hokage Oasis Nara, and including the Former Mizukages Kakuzu and Noni as well as the Akatsuki brat, L. Now it was time for Baraggan to master the arts of Fire, and to establish himself as a shinobi renowned in Fire Style.

After listening carefully to what Shayde said, in regards to the three techniques; Baraggan quickly skimmed through the scrolls and got an idea of how each technique worked. Wasting little time, Baraggan quickly walked over to the clones side and prepared for the technique. Baraggan kneaded his chakra, converting it into Katon chakra and channeled it into his lungs. Then, he inhaled air and at the same time as the clone, he released an intense stream of fire. This fire when combined with the blast of wind would create a fierce and destructive Fire and Wind blast, laying waste to everything in its path.

"Now Madaras technique"

Baraggan kneaded his chakra, converting it into Katon chakra and channeled it into his lungs. Then, he inhaled air; combining the air with his Katon chakra. Baraggan then simply weaved the Horse handseal, and exhaled out a massive wall of intense flames, considerably wide as well as capable of reaching more upto 15m. This intense wave of fire would envelop the entire forest within minutes, burning it down into ash, leaving little more than a trace. Anything that survived this chaotic blaze however would now suffer Baraggans wrath.

"Now then... for all those cockroaches that survived.."

Baraggan jumped atop a large boulder nearby, allowing him to properly view the entire forest.. or atleast what was left of it. He kneaded his chakra, converting it into Katon chakra and channeled it into his lungs. Then, he inhaled air; combining the air with his Katon chakra. Wasting little time, Baraggan weaved a set of handseals, in this case; the Rat → Ox → Dog → Horse → Monkey → Boar → Tiger hand seals and exhaled out a similar and considerably large stream of fire. Upon making contact with the earth, the stream of fire would expand in all directions from its epicenter, burning and destroying every single thing in its path.. including Shayde who was Baraggans target all along!​

You didn't read the part where I said I wasn't going to make a clone, and you could just skip that Jutsu cause it did almost the exact same thing as the next Jutsu, did you? You failed this test. Go back to D-Ranks and do the training all over again. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

There was but one word for the sight before the two men now. Cataclysmic. How, in but a few mere moments, an entire forest had been laid to waste, and left as nothing but a razed field of burning ash and embers. The Fire Element was truly scary, with it's potential to destroy almost anything it touches with it's overwhelming presence. And despite Barragan's attempt at killing Shayde, yet again he remained unfazed amidst the destruction.

"And here I was thinking we had something special, but then you go and try and burn me when we're almost done... Oh well. I've got one last Jutsu for you, consider it a parting gift for our time together. Now, you can only perform this Jutsu is you are lucky enough to have been born with an affinity for the Fire Element, but the Jutsu you are able to perform more than makes up for this requirement. Since I was blessed to be born in a Clan that has a 100% chance of inheriting the Fire Element, I can show you it. Pay close attention now..."

(Katon: Gōkakyū Hitoame no Jutsu)Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower

Description: Kneading his chakra and then converting it to fire, the user will do the Horse → Tiger → Snake → Ram hand seals as he inhales, exhaling into the sky a multitude of great fireballs (up to 8) at the same time which then rain down on the target from above causing severe, widespread damage around the field. These fireballs have explosive and concussive abilities, similar to other fire techniques.

Shayde began by taking a few deep breaths, filling his lungs with as much air as possible before initiating the Jutsu. He then performed a small series of Seals, ensuring that Barragan could see them, for this was for his benefit. He then gathered a massive quantity of Chakra in his lungs, and changed it's nature to Fire. Then, upon mixing the Chakra with the air gathered in his lungs, he looked up at the sky, took aim at some smouldering tree stumps some 30m or so away, then shot a series of massive fireballs into the air. Like a trebuchet launching rubble, the fireballs tore through the sky, reaching their apex, then descended upon the targeted stumps. Upon contact with, well, anything really, they violently exploded, tearing apart the surroundings with extreme vehemence, creating large craters several feet deep. It certainly did the trick for removing the tree stumps, even if it was a gross misuse of the power that Chakra bestowed to humanity.

"And with that, we're done here. I don't really know what to say here, so... Bye."

In the instant that he said farewell, Shayde's body caught on fire, starting from his feet, and working it's way up to his head. This was a smokescreen of sorts, a façade to cover his egress from the area, while also looking cool as fudge at the same time. And with his body seemingly spontaneously combusting, Barragan would get what he apparently wanted. Too see Shayde's body engulfed in flames, and disappear.

So, yeah. Congrats, not only for finishing your training in Fire Release, but for being the first student whose training I completed. You must be so thrilled. *Throws confetti in the air* So, one last time, congrats, and thank you for letting me teach you.
