Sear almost tripped and fell on his back when his sensei surprised him.

"Please don't do that again.. Anyway, Suiton or water release is on of the 5 basic elements, it allows the user after focusing on their Water chakra to manipulate water from a nearby source or create their own source, but it's always easier to manipulate water than to create it. The water element is strong against fire and weak against Earth, also water can be used to enhance the power of a lightning based jutsu, causing it to be more destructive."

Feitan giggles as Sear falls over like that. Things then would get serious when the student started explaining what Water Release was. Feitan nodded repeatedly, acknowledging his studen'ts knowledge. He didn't say a lot but he had caught the grasp of it. Nevertheless, it was the duty of Feitan to say his verison.

"That was good. Anyway, hear my version out. Water is the most calm element out of the five. It's mainly common among the ninajs of the Mist. These features make it a distinct element. Water is said to be the most versatile element. It comes in the form of offensive, defensive and supplementary purposes. The energy we have in our bodies can make this peaceful element furious, in order to fulfill our own purposes in whatever situation we might be. As you said, existing water can also be manipulated, which is way easier than generating it. This obviously speaks for itself, for the fact that it makes it a handy element. Water can be combined with Lightning, to make it more destructive overall. If you put a large amount of chakra in your water techniques, then no element can counter it. Water prevails against Fire, however fails against Earth."

Said by many, this is one of the most versatile watter attacks. It can save you from various situations solely for the fact that you can do so much with it. You just manipulate existing water or generate it yourself, and then use it for offensive or defensive purposes. You can create literally anything. The rank is the only downside of it.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu

Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dลjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

If you're near a water source, you insert your chakra into it and a thick mist will surround the battlefield. You can also do this without a water source, in other words, with your own chakra. It has no offensive capabilities, however its great for stealth and surprise attacks. Gifted ninjas with Byakugan can see you, however those with Sharingan or Rinnegan can't. Use this technique combined with another one to kill my clone.

Feitan creates a clone which just stands there, oblivious to the fact he's gonna get killed.

Sear quickly gave his Sensei a mod, and started doing as he was instructed.
He started focusing his water based chakra while he was concentrating, "(Suiton No Jutsu)" he yelled and then released a wave of water from his mouth towards the clone that his Sensei made.

"first advantage, is that it can provide the users with water source, making it easier for them to perform other Suiton jutsus.
Second advantage, it can be used as an offense, defense or as a Supplementary jutsu like how i described in the first advantage, this is huge as it provides many options for the user.
As for the disadvantages, first, it will also provide a water source for the enemy if used incorrectly, and second, if used poorly, it can give the enemy advantage very the user if they have access to lightning jutsus."


Sear quickly began concentrating again for the second jutsu. He chose to release his own chakra into the air to form the mist. After a blink of an eye Sear yelled "(Kirigakure No Jutsu)" releasing mist from his mouth to block the clones vision.

"This is a very useful jutsu, especially for an Uchiha like me, so as soon as i awaken my sharingan, i will rely on it alot.
First advantage, blocking the enemys vision while the user prepares a surprise attack.
Second advantage, doesn't require a water source to form.
As for the disadvantages, first, it can also block the users vision of the enemy if used without a strategy.
Second disadvantage, this would be useless if the user is facing a Hyuuga."

Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

Pretty simple. Either from your chakra or from pre existing water sources, you create a water sword. It's pretty sharp, and can be used in a common fashion for hand-to-hand combat.

( Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique

Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

A defensve water technique. You swing your arm to create a water barrier which is used to block incoming projectiles or close combat techniques. Be careful when using this though, the rank isn't too promising.

Sear starts trying to perform the 3rd jutsu that his Sensei taught him. He focuses his water chakra on the palm of his hand, causing a water sword to form from his chakra.

"First advantage of this jutsu, is that it doesn't require a water source, the can help in tight situations where the user doesn't have enough time to reach to his ninja pouch to grab a ninja Weapon.
Second advantage, and I have been thinking about this for a while, if the user throws the sword at an enemy, it will probably turn back into water on impact, creating a water source near the enemy for other water techniques to surprise the enemy and possibly finish them off within a short time.

As for the disadvantages, can be countered using a weapon enhanced with the lightning element.
I can't think of any more disadvantages.."


Sear quickly starts performing the 4th jutsu, he extends his arm out and focuses his water chakra, and then releasing it all infront of his arm, creating a wall/barrier of water infront of himself.

"Not the best defensive jutsu, but it can definitely come in handy in some situations.
Advantages of this technique, first, again it doesn't require a water source, so the user will always have something to defend himself if the terrain doesn't have any water source in it.
Second, it can be used to block the vision of a Sharingan or Rinnegan user, since the jutsu is made out of chakra, giving the user a slight advantage to perform other techniques without risking it being copied.

Disadvantages, it can be easily countered by almost any jutsu because of its low rank.
Also, if the user doesn't have a strategy, they can immediately lose the battle if the enemy counters with a higher rank lightning jutsu."

This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

You perform the three handseals and then you create a water whip. Now it can be applied in various situations. You can lash it around and hurt your opponent, or wrap them up. Since lightning is best friends with water, the water whip can serve as a medium for you to channel your lightning techniques!

Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram โ†’ Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Now this one is a good technique. You perform the necessary handseals and build up your chakra in your body. You then spit a stream of sticky liquid substance which is adhesive. It covers any range! This sticky liquid can restrict opponent's movements, and mess up his plans. Though if the opponent applies raw chakra on his foot he can walk freely around the syrup, if he has done so earlier, that is.

"Very interesting jutsu. Advantages, first, as you said, i can use it and charge it with lightning chakra to completely paralyze enemies. In my opinion, this will be most useful if I'm facing a member of the Inuzuka Clan, i can easily paralyze their Ninkin and take him out of the fight, giving me huge advantage.
Second, in my opinion, can be used to interrupt an enemy that is performing handseals, interrupting them.

As for disadvantages, if the user doesn't act quickly after binding the enemy, they can easily counter by channeling their lightning chakra and paralyzing the user instead.
Second, this jutsu requires 3 hand seals, which can be very dangerous as the opponent can easily interrupt the user, if the user was careless enough to start weaving seals in the open."


As for the second jutsu, Sear quickly performed 2 handseals, Ram โ†’ Tiger, while focusing his water chakra in his mouth, moments later he spit a stream of chakra fused water on the ground. Sear stepped on the water to find them stuck and unable to lift them off.

"Another really interesting technique. Advantages, very useful to zone off enemies and potentially leading them into a trap.
Can be used to keep enemies from advancing to perform Taijutsu, and gives the user time to prepare for another jutsu.

Disadvantages, can be easily countered if the enemy saw the user spit the water, and by channeling chakra to their feet.
If the user is sloppy, they can easily forget where they spit the water, leading then to getting themselves stuck."

(Mizu Bunshin) - Water Release: Water Clone

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a clone of themselves made of water. These water clones have 1/10th of the users chakra. These clones are also limited in that they can only travel short range from the user without losing control. When a water clone take enough damage they revert back to normal water.
Note: Can only perform up to C rank Water techniques and requires a water source.

Water clones... They require a water source and the Tiger handseal. These clones have a tiny amount of your overall chakra, and can't travel beyond short range from the user without you losing control over it. They can perform up to C rank techniques, pretty handy if you ask me. They can also perform free-form martial arts attacks. After they have took a considerable damage, they disperse back to water.

(Suiton: Suigandan) - Water Release: Water Fang Bullet

Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.
Note: Requires a water source.

Another technique which requiers a water source. Though, you and your opponent need to be on a water surface. The user inserts his chakra under the water, and brings up a liquid mass from underneath. The sheer force can do some damage to the target, and you can literally attack with this from anywhere. It works pretty nicely for distraction, or combined with techniques of such nature.

How many clones can i make per turn? Also can they be used as "human shields" to weaken elemental attacks?

"I finally get to learn a clone jutsu!
Advantages of this technique, first, the clone has chakra and can perform up to C rank water jutsus, which is very decent and can definitely come in handy in tight battles.
Second, it allows the user to perform combo attacks with the clone to surprise the enemy, for example, the clone can perform the Hidding in the Mist technique, while the user prepares a heavy attack. It can definitely catch an enemy off guard.

As for Disadvantages, first, it requires a water source. It can be difficult or impossible depending on the terrain to reach the water source, without the enemy being suspicious of it.
Second, it can only travel short distances, which means it pretty much always has to stay near the user. So simple large area jutsus can be used to counter the clone. "


Sear then quickly moves to a water source nearby, he fuses chakra on his feet to be able to walk on the water surface.
He then performs the next jutsu given to him by his sensei. Sear quickly channels his water chakra to the water below him, causing a liquid mass to charge upwards from under the water, and allowing Sear to control its movements.

"Interesting technique. Advantages, first, considering this jutsu doesn't require any hand seals, it can be very useful to zone off enemies while the user prepares for a strategy.
Second, this jutsu can attack from a 360 degrees radius, which is amazing and can very effectively defend the user.

Disadvantages, requires water source, and for the user to be on that water source.

Second, can be easily countered if the enemy decides to use a lightning jutsu on the water source, paralyzing the user and not allowing him to control the jutsu."

Also, you can make however you want, but note that they will be weaker. Let's say, if you create one water clone, he will have the power of 50 chakra. If you make two, they will have each 25 and so on. Yes to your second question too!

This requires an early usage of the Hidden Mist Jutsu. You can reflect the natural light in a way to blind your opponent for as long as he's in the mist. He won't be able to see and is vulnerable to any attack!

(Suiton: Suishลha) - Water Style: Water Shock Wave

Descripton: This technique allows the user after claping their hands together to make a spiralling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

A double rank technique. (You will be able to use the B rank one once you reach that rank). Yu clap your hands together and make yourself be surrounded by a spitalling water vortex which reaches very high. It then drops into a crashing wave which washes your targets away and severly damage them, depending on how much chakra you put to it. (C or B rank)

After performing the hidden in mist jutsu, Sear performs the next jutsu, reflecting the light off the mist and blinding his Sensei for a couple of seconds before releasing the mist.

"Very useful jutsu.

Second, the opponent will remain blind as long as he is in the mist.
As for disadvantages, it requires Hidden in the mist jutsu to be active on the field first, and it can be countered of the opponent manages to get rid of the mist."


Sear then focuses his water chakra around himself, before clapping his hands together, causing a vortex of water to form around him. The vortex reached very high, before dropping down into a crashing wave on a tree the Sear aimed at.

"Also a decent jutsu.
Advantages, It doesn't require a water source to perform. And it can reach all the way up to long range.

As for disadvantages, it leaves the user vulnerable against lightning attacks, which damage the user alot through the water. And also it can be countered by an Earth wall, which has the element advantage over water."

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique

Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird โ†’ Rat โ†’ Ox โ†’ Monkey โ†’ Rat โ†’ Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

A supplementary technique. This one allows you to sense chakra energies. To do this process, you start off by perfoming the Bird โ†’ Rat โ†’ Ox โ†’ Monkey โ†’ Rat โ†’ Snake hand seals and make it rain. Each droplet is linked to your chakra senses, and should the dots touch over anything which has a chakra system, you will be able to sense it. Though, logically, since you sense via rain, you cannot see what's going on underground. You can keep the rain going unless you decide to cancel it, with just one handseal.

Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake โ†’ Ram โ†’ Horse โ†’ Hare โ†’ Ram โ†’ Horse โ†’ Hare โ†’ Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

Being close to an enemy, you perform the necessary handseals and create a solid sphere of water which traps the target in. Normally, they won't be able to escape it unless you decide to cancel the technique. To maintain the sphere, however, you must have one arm inside the sphere. The target trapped in is unable to move due to the intensity of the water and they will eventually drown in the process. You can also use your water clones as a water source, and have them turn into a water sphere to trap the target in.

Advantages of first Jutsu, allows the user to use the rain drops to sense anything nearby. Also, the rain can keep on falling until the user wishes otherwise.
As for disadvantages, the technique requires 6 handseals to activate, and i was told that it can't be used to sense the exact location of whatever the user is trying to sense.

Second jutsu, Can be used to trap clones and not allow them to interfere on the battle anymore. And can remain active as long as the user wants.
Disadvantages, requires the user to be at close range of the opponent, and to perform 7 handseals. Also the user's hand must remain in the sphere of water to keep it active.
