Dean Winchester arrives on the training field, only to find that coffee drinking bastard there. They had fought before, and this man was better than him, so Dean didn't really like him, but duty calls. Dean, with his usual face, walks up to Godot with a sword in hand.

"Coffee drinking son of a --, I hope you brought your own sword! Tell me everything you know of Kenjutsu, what it encompasses, and notable users of it!"

Dean then waits for Godot to give his answer on the subject. Godot was quite knowledgeable, but did he know about swords? Did he know about KENJUTSU? Dean pondered, Find out next time, when he replies!

"Let's see...Kenjutsu is a form of weapon combat utilizing a sword, typically a katana or similar bladed weapon. There are many users of Kenjutsu but none more reliant on it than the Samurai of the Land of Iron who have their own branch of Kenjutsu specifically for samurai. Other well known Kenjutsu users are Sasuke, Madara, the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, Orochimaru, Hashirama, Darui, Kirabi, and other cloud ninja who also have a specialized form of Kenjutsu. Huh...i'm afraid that is all i can tell you about the subject. I just got bought this baby today."

*taps twice on the Katana at his hip which he's calls the "Bitter Blade".*

His information was on point! He was smart, even though he wore a crappy mask. Nonetheless, it was time they continued. Kenjutsu never was a long training session, but it did include a large amount of practical exercises, and as such, Dean dressed the part.

You must be registered for see images

"Okay, that will suffice. Now, as you already have a sword, we can begin! My method is as follows, I will explain the technique to you in great detail and then you will perform it, give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages and also, how you would use it in battle. Now, the first technique is easy."

Dean walks in a slow manner, like an Army official whilst talking.

"With your katana, you will attack your opponent (in this case, my clone) with several slashes. These slashes can be horizontal or vertical in nature, it basically allows some artistic freedom. After several slashes, you will deal a final slash to the enemy, that acts as a finisher, perhaps striking a vital part of the body. Once again, some freedom there. Now, attack my clone!"

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

Godot listened to Dean's instructions but was a little surprised by how vague they were.

"Do whatever comes to mind, got it. Here goes..."

Seeing the clone coming at him, he unsheathes his sword and holds it behind him in his right hand. Then he swings it over his head and slashes down on him from the shoulder to his navel. He keeps the blade in motion, tracing a path back to him and cutting across his chest twice, back and forth, before spinning counterclockwise and slashing him across his thighs. Now this will cause him to drop, giving Godot the opportunity to dash past the clone on his left and swing his sword backwards though the back of his neck, basically decapitating him. For dramatic effect, it doesn't come off until Godot re-sheathes his sword and at that point his head is practically blasted off his body. Godot turns to Dean, giving him a look saying "Impressive, right?"

"That was extremely.... dramatic. Good though but you still have to provide me with at least 2 advantages and disadvantages and also, how you would use it in battle. Now, do that and we will move on."

Dean then takes out a huge cup of coffee to taunt Godot.

"GO! GO! GO!"

*Godot stands strait and gives Dean a military salute*

"Sir, yes, sir!
This technique's main strength is its versatility since it can be performed in many different ways and still adhere to the same guidelines. This also makes it easy to continue the series if the enemy tries to counter, by changing the intended sequence of slashes to fit the situation. As a multiple hit attack, the enemy would have a hard time evading it too.
As for disadvantages, it takes a while to perform completely and its not so strong that the enemy can't stop it midway.
If i use this in a fight, i'll try to overwhelm my opponent with fast slashes or made a complex combo that hard to predict."

Dean listens to Godot who did seem to know what he was talking about. Maybe behind that visor, there was a man who had a keen eye, but! Could he keep it up throughout? Dean threw a scroll towards Godot that contained the technique, just in case he needed it again in future.

"Very good, Godot. The technique does indeed allow for some freedom and creativity due to its simplistic nature. Nonetheless, here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

"Now, we will move on. The next technique is also one of a simplistic nature. The technique starts off with punching your opponent a few times, anywhere you feel like. Then, after the flurry of punches, you would draw your sword and perform tow final slahses to finish your opponent off. Once again, some freedom as they don't indicate where these punches will land or the slashes, so you can have fun with that! Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a buff clone that runs towards Godot.

Godot plucks the scroll out the air and drops in in his pouch for later. He wanted to practice as many techniques as he could before his next coffee break. He eagerly awaits Dean's second set of instructions which turn out to be just as simple as the first. A clone appears who runs at Godot in all his muscular glory so he casually rolls his shoulders back in preparation. With his enemy coming close Godot bends his knees and springs forward, dropping his right fist and driving it upwards into the clone's gut which stops him in his tracks. Its followed by a left hook across the face and a right cross sending him reeling back. He then pulls back his sheathe with his left hand and draws the blade with the other, slashing him diagonally upwards across the chest in the same motion. With his sword raised now, he grabs the hilt with both hands and slashes strait down on the clone's head. Now he has a splitting headache. (so much rep if you get the reference lol)

Like the last technique, it allows a certain amount of freedom. That's always a plus. The transition from fists to blades could even catch an opponent off guard if they aren't ready.
The downside is how unusable the technique is if your opponent is also wielding a sword which makes attempting punches dangerous. Also, having your punches blocked or evaded could could give the enemy a chance to counter before your sword can be drawn.
When using this technique i'd make sure my initial punches set up for a crippling last punch that will give me time to use my sword while he's hurt.

Godot's skill increased once more, well he was already a skilled fighter. Nonetheless, Dean merely kept his stern look on his face, just to bug the coffee drinking bastard. He quickly throws the scroll towards Godot.

"Nicely done, Godot. Nothing more to add, here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

"Since you got the hang of this easily, we will bump it up to two techniques at a time. Don't disappoint me, Godot! Now, the first technique can be done with a sword or a tanto (wooden stick), I'll just let you use your sword. Once you have positioned yourself, dash towards your enemy, and when you get close, spin your whole body either in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction, with your sword outstretched. This would allow you to hit your opponent as you spin, but is actually aimed at hitting multiple enemies at once as you spin. So if a group of enemies or clones ever surround you, this technique is ideal. Now, use it against my three clones."

Dean creates three clones that run towards Godot from different arcs, and enclose upon him.

"After that, with your sword in hand, dash towards the opponent, and once you get close enough you will jump into mid air. Once in mid air, you will position your sword downwards, and aim to drill the sword into the opponent, aimed at any point from above (preferably, the head). Thing is, you have to use this in mid-air. So, it means it can also be used if you jump down from a structure, as long as you are above the opponent. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

Idly juggling a second scroll on the side of his blade, Godot perked up when he heard he'd be learning two techniques at once. Maybe now his coffee-less self could hold out without stifling a yawn.

Is that all Sensei? I graduated from the sippy-cup eons ago. Hold on, isn't a tanto a short sword...?

Before an answer came, three clones came instead, advancing on him from different angles. Godot gladly ran against the charge with his sword raised laterally in both hands and the blade pointing right. He stops to pivot on his right foot into a swift counter-clockwise spin while swinging his sword in the same direction. His outstretched sword makes a full revolution and cuts across all three clones despite their formation. Godot flicks blood from his sword as each clone falls like wheat before the scythe.

Well, this one's pretty basic. Its great to use when surrounded by enemies and also gives them less of an area to evade since the swing is so wide.
Some drawbacks i notice are the chance that the blade gets stopped before it reaches the other enemies surrounding me and how easily its evaded by ducking or jumping.

After going through a quick explanation of the next technique, another clone was sent running at Godot. Godot ran at him too and acrobatically flipped through the air over the clone, twisting his body around in midair so he'd be upside down above the clone as he pulled back his sword to strike. He thrust the sword downwards, plunging the blade's tip through the clone's skull before landing behind him and dislodging his sword with a quick yank.

This technique's advantages come from being performed in an aerial position. The strike is given more power due to gravity and an attack coming from above is harder to block without being overwhelmed.
However, it's also risky to use since it puts me in a vulnerable position in midair where its hard to handle counterattacks. There's also the chance my attack is evaded and the blade gets stuck in the floor.

I was thinking of another word smh

Godot once again show cased his prowess with the sword. He could even handle two techniques at a time. Dean didn't even break out a smile. He acted angry, since Godot actually beat him once in a fight.

"Well done, Godot. Here are the techniques you just learned."

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user spins with his tantō, hitting the target several times.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

"Now for the next two techniques. The first technique starts off by dashing towards the opponent with great speed and sword in hand. As you get to the opponent, you will strike the opponent with the handle of the sword. After that, you will deliver several kicks that sends the opponent airborne and away from you. You will then dash towards the opponent and smash him into an obstacle. An easy technique, and quite fast to perform too. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

"After that, dash towards the opponent as you channel chakra into your sword. Once you reach the opponent, you will perform an upward slash which launches the opponent upwards. As they go airborne, you will appear above your opponent and deliver a drilling slash downwards. This would cause tremendous damage and is quite effective. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

Dean looked frustrated watching his student progress so effortlessly. Godot smirked, amused by his tsundere attitude and took it as a good sign. The next move described to him was a kenjutsu stew, it had a little bit of everything. Godot drew his sword and flipped it in his right hand to reverse his grip in preparation. He held the handle tightly and dashed forward at the clone, thrusting the back end strait into his solar plexus. As the painful blow takes its toll, Godot plants his sword behind him for support and swings both legs upwards behind him in a motion reminiscent of a cartwheel. Two consecutive kicks strike the clone's head and chest from below, throwing his body backward through the air. Godot gives chase and finishes him with a downward slash sending his body hurtling into a random boulder that cracks from the impact. Godot turns to Dean with an unsatisfied look to give him his honest opinion of it.

If i had to list some advantages of this technique i'd say it's rather unpredictable since you don't actually use the blade itself to strike until the last. Another thing is the speed of the combo which could overwhelm an opponent.
As for disadvantages you can't benefit from the extended reach of a sword so you have to get dangerously close to the opponent. Also, since it starts with a handle strike, you could be easily disarmed if the strike misses or is blocked.
The best use of this technique would be to take certain opponents off guard who are weak in close range combat.

Again, a clone runs to his end and Godot doesn't think twice about granting his wish. He dashes forward, his blade glowing faintly from the chakra channeled directly into it. With quick motions he lowers his sword and slashes upwards across the clone's chest with enough force to send him airborne. Godot leaps above him in a second with his sword pointed down and skewers him, easily killing him on the spot.

Its a very simple technique. What makes it unique is it uses chakra to strengthen the attacks so it becomes harder to defend from. Since it only consists of two strikes, the combo can be done very quickly and is quite lethal if successful.
The downside is the first strike is easy to evade and you're left vulnerable if it misses.
I'd use this technique in the middle of a combo so the enemy would be unprepared for the increase in power.

Godot walks off for a moment and returns holding his coffee mug. Written on it are the words "World greatest Sensei" next to a pic of his smug face.

Dean's clones were no match for this man, he was a menace. Not only had Godot once beat Dean, he kept boasting about it in a discreet way. Nonetheless, his Kenjutsu performance was well done. Dean then threw another scroll towards Godot, aimed to hit that damn coffee mug out of his hand.

"Well done, Mr Coffee. Here are the techniques you just learned."

Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.

"Now the next two techniques are extremely easy to perform. The first one can be compared to Gatsuga Tensho, where the user will perform a crescent shaped slash. Once the slash is performed, from it, a red wave of chakra is expelled. This wave of chakra is capable of travelling up to mid range, so it can be quite useful to keep enemies at bay. Use it on my Grimmjow themed clone over there."

Dean creates a clone that looks like Grimmjow.

"After that, grab your sword in your dominant hand and channel a Chidori into it. After doing so, your sword will start radiating and chirping, due to the electricity and it's cutting proficiency will greater increase making it easy to even cut through steel. If a person is cut with a sword enhanced by Chidori, their body will go numb, taking away their freedom of movement. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

Godot took an exaggerated drink in spite of Dean's protest, causally knocking the thirsty scroll aside with a flick of his sword handle. His 10th cup would live to see another day. That's Professor Coffee to you. Today's lesson is Godot blend #103. Take notes. :coffee:

Godot drew his sword and pointed it at the bizarre clone, daring him to face this dual-wielding demon. That alone was enough to leave him frozen in fear which made him the perfect guinea pig for a new technique. Pouring chakra though his sword caused it to radiate a potent red energy, or at least what he assumed was red and not another color entirely. He slowly pulls the blade back so his arm crosses over his body before slicing a horizontal arc through the air. Through this motion he unleashes the chakra held by the blade as a crescent shaped wave of pure chakra. It hurtles toward the distant clone who's blasted backwards and knocked out in one hit. Even more impressive was Godot's coffee downing technique during his performance.

Pros: Allows you to attack from a distance, it has a wider range than most Ken techs, and it can be executed as fast as any normal attack.
Cones: It's probably not as lethal as your average sword strike and the enemy could easily see it coming.
Other than keeping my distance with this move, it could be used in close quarters so my enemy has nearly no room to evade.

Next, Godot concentrates raiton chakra into a chirping bundle in his palm before transferring the energy from his hand through the sword, empowering it with the same cutting and numbing properties as chidori. As Dean's clone comes near Godot flings his steaming mug strait into his face, stunning him with the dark concoction. In a flash he lunches forward and assaults the clone with several rapid thrusts piercing each of the clone's limbs so the electricity flowing into him with each strike would leave him immobile. A final spinning slash utilizing both hands makes a lateral cut splitting the abdomen in two.

So far, this is the most lethal of Ken techs since it can even cut through an enemy's sword and slash him. It may also augment further Ken techs to a higher level.
What's bad about the tech is you'll never be able to sneak up on your enemy with it since the energy emanating from the blade is loud and bright.
A great use for this would be to keep taijutsu users away, knowing they could have a limb cut off if they get too close.

Sorry for the late reply man >,>

Using his coffee to augment his attacks against Dean's clones was a surprise. This guy would do that kind of shit in a real battle too. His usage of the techniques were well done, and his analysis too. What a character this guy was. Dean threw the scroll towards him, as he quickly took a sip of Gin himself, these were the last two techniques he was going to teach this man. Good riddance too >_>

"Well done... Here you go."

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does a simple cresent-shaped slash at the opponent, expelling a red chakra wave.

Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user flows Chidori current through a katana in manner similar to flying swallow technique. The Radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, the body of the person cut by the sword goes numb, taking away their freedom of movement.

"Now the next one involves spinning again. You will dash towards the opponent with your sword in hand, and channel your chakra into it as you do so. Due to the great amount of chakra in it, it will start to glow blue in color. You will then jump into the air when you close to the opponent, and spin your body with your sword outstretched. You will then look like a ballerina, I mean, it will create a spinning circle of doom, due to the rapid rate at which you are spinning. This will obviously cut down the opponent. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Godot.

"After that, the last Kenjutsu technique that I can teach you. With your sword already in hand, if you are struck by a Lightning technique like Chidori Nagashi, the sword can be used as a Lightning rod. The sword will attract all the electric currents from your body, and by then pointing the sword's tip into the ground, it is capable of dispelling the electric current. This would nullify the paralysis from the Chidori Nagashi. A useful technique, but it doesn't work against more focused Lightning techniques, only against free-flowing ones. Use it to dispel this!"

Dean uses Chidori Nagashi :coffee:

Somehow the techniques Dean taught were getting less complicated over time. Maybe Godot's growing kenjutsu prowess made every move easy to master? Regardless, the next move sounded exciting so he dashed at the clone with sword drawn once Dean finished his explanation. His blade glowed blue as he imbued his sword with a large concentration of chakra. Then he leaped into the air and held his sword behind him before swinging it with all his strength from right to left. He also twists his arms and legs in that direction as well, propelling him body into a rapid counterclockwise spin. Moving so fast, the blade rotating around him resembled a blue ring tilted downward as it descended on the clone. He was soon slashed across his chest repeatedly, the cut getting deeper and more gruesome with each rotation until he's cut in two.

What i think i look like:
You must be registered for see images
What i really look like:
You must be registered for see images

Some of this technique's strong points are its power gained from rotation and the chakra packed into the blade which makes it hard to defend against. It could also cut down multiple enemies in the same area. Drawbacks to using this are the difficulty of stopping the attack once your started spinning which could leave you open for a counterattack. The spinning motion could make it hard to focus on your target too. Being in midair while attacking also prevents you from evading a counterattack thrown at you.
I would use this technique after blinding my enemy so he won't know where the attack is coming from until its too late.

Finding out he'd get shocked for the last technique made him a bit skeptical but he really had no other choice when an attack was already coming at him. Sword pointed down, Godot braced himself for the electric wave to hit and enter his body. As soon as he feels his muscles locking up from the current, he jabs the tip of his blade into the ground, causing the current to naturally pass through his body, the sword, and end up diffused in the earth. Afterwards Godot stretches a bit, noticing the electricity's effect disappearing already.

There's not much to say about this technique. It's only useful in a particular situation and won't even work if the floor is too hard to pierce or if you're standing on water. If i'm shocked during a battle i could pretend to be paralyzed and surprise attack when he comes in close.

That was it, Godot was finally done with Kenjutsu. An art he seemed to like, based on how he performed it. Or perhaps he was just like that with everything, he was definitely a weird guy, I mean, who wears a visor these days. Nonetheless, Dean decided to throw the last two scrolls towards Godot with a grin on his face, although they were kind of enemies at some point, he had fun training him.

"Last two scrolls... there ya go."

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will channel chakra into their sword making it glow blue and then jumping into the air they spin at a rapid rate creating a spinning circle and cutting through the enemy target.

Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques

Dean then takes out a cup of coffee himself, raising it into the air as he walks backwards into the dark Nekura portal. He bid his frenemy farewell. :coffee:

"See you soon, Godot, be it on the battlefield or otherwise. Have fun with your new Kenjutsu skills."
