Earth is the kind of element that is the most versitile among the others. Earth has an eternal presence on the enviorement, since it can withstand different kinds of harsh weather. Earth can be used as shield for many kinds of water attacks. It's natural ability to prevent water from going through allows that. If the earth jutsu is strong enough, it can even endure high temperatures, making it able to dodge fire attacks. Earth can be even used as a shield to guard against weapon attacks. Doton can be used in 2 ways in the hard rock way to attack opponents and protect from attacks, or it can be used in it's soft muddy form, to restrict movements and combine it with Fire to create Yoton (Lava).

Earth is strong against water since it can't let water pass through, but it is weak against lightning. Raiton can conduct through it, breaking it up and losing the natural ability it has.

Nikodo's eyes are burning with passion, he took off the heavy cloak he had and continued doing it for the whole afternoon. After relaxing a couple of times he started to continue doing that, with sweat and Hard work you can achieve everything

Nikodo is left out only with his head. He looks at his Sensei with a suprissed expression.
Ermmm, I still have trust in you...*I think this maniac is killing me, Nikodo thought to himself.

Nikodo Struggles to get out but it was impossible. The hits were quite painful and no matter how hard he tried the Earth limited his movements.Wait a Second...Nikodo thought to himself. He was unable to move, and no matter the effort it was nearly nothing towards the power that the earth was trapping him.
Sensei wait a Second.
Did you trap me here so that I can understand that the earth is stronger then me no matter what I do, That the earth is able to trap anyone and doesn't matter who you are, or how strong you are...
And yes Right now I feel weak, I feel defenseless and unable to move.

Heh, you got lucky. Channel your earth chakra from within into the ground, force the earth underneath your feet to rise up. Lift yourself out of the ground.

Nikodo was bleeding from his nose and from his mouth. He closes his eyes and starts concentrating. Nikodo feels the doton chakra and the earth all around him as well. He started channeling his chakra at the part of earth under him and the earth starts moving. It moved a little slow but Nikodo could feel movement. He was continuing to force the chakra around him as well, moving the earth sideways so that the strangle could get lighter. When he was loose enough he starts channeling most of the chakra down resulting in the earth moving at quite some speed up. He had his head low and when he was fully up he starts wiping the blood. He looks at Sensei and he had a smile on his face.
Was this all you could do?

The earth beneath you rises up and lifts you out of the ground as you stand atop the pillar you created.
