Before we begin I would like you to explain in your own words your understanding of both Chakra & Ninjutsu, describe to me the inner workings of both. From there I will fill in any blanks to help you gain a better understanding of them & we will then continue on to talk about Wind element.

Chakra is the combination of Physical and Spiritual Energy. One can improve their control and manipulation of Physical and Spiritual Energies i.e. Chakra by training and experience. Chakra flows through the Chakra Circulaory system which is present throughout the body. This system has 361 Pressure points through which one can release the Chakra. Chakra can be manipulated by using Hand Seals.
Ninjutsu -

Your note on handseals manipulating chakra, that can be done regardless of handseals. Handseals are what allow the user to mold their chakra also allowing them to more easily concentration in doing so. Quite good on the rest of it. I have an explanation written out for both Chakra & Ninjutsu, if you have any questions are reading let me know^^.

You should also know that Chakra is comprised of both Spiritual & Physical energy of a living being, whether that being be human or animal, all creatures have a chakra network than runs through their system. Spiritual energy is thought of as being related to the being's mind & spirit, I would like to think that the more a living being is in tune with their mind & spirit, the more control they have over their own chakra, leading me to believe this is how one would gain a mastery over their "Chakra Control" a title used in many aspects of the Narutoverse. Physical energy is related to a being's body & vitality, something that can also be seen as one's inner strength & "Will". A life force with a greater physical energy would usually have a large source of chakra.
Chakra itself does not require to have an equal amount of both Physical & Spiritual energy. As noted some beings have a greater source of physical energy while others a spiritual. An example of a large source of physical energy would be the Uzumaki, a clan that is named for having large sources of chakra due to an extended life force. The inner workings of Wind release (in your own words): Wind Release is one of the Basic 5 Elements. To use Wind release the user makes his chakra as sharp as possible and molds and manipulates it to undergo tranformation and form wind element. According to Asuma Sarutobi Wind attacks are best suited for short to mid range. That's because most wind attacks are cut and slash attacks and wind attacks travels fast resulting in less time for opponent to react when in close range and thus high chances of the opponent being hit by the attack.

Melee/Weaponry - Wind release is rarely used in combination with Taijutsu, excluding the off jutsu that allow strikes forcing the opponent to be sent flying back a further distance (explained later). However it is a more preferred element in conjunction with such styles as kenjutsu or other weapons such as kunai or shuriken. This is due to Wind release augmenting the piercing/slicing capabilities of the already sharp blades used. It is also a good method to add a slight extra range to such weapons without being easily noticed by an opponent, making the two a deadly combination. When mixing Wind chakra with projectiles, it not only boosts the piercing abilities but also slightly increases its speed as it travels across, allowing the projectile to rip through most objects that would otherwise only allow the projectile to stab itself into a fixed position on contact. An example would be Asuma adding his Wind chakra to the kunai by rubbing two chakra points against each other creating a finely formed blade to blanket over the kunai. As Asuma throws the blade it effortlessly rips through the tree & breaks through a solid rock.
Widespread - A large amount of Wind jutsu revolve around Large scale blast of wind, a great use to divert certain incoming attacks whether it be projectiles, bodies of water, Earth jutsu (depending on the scale of the Wind jutsu & the weight of the Earth jutsu) or even the opponents themselves. As noted most widespread wind jutsu are created to deter incoming threats. Other uses for this sort of method would be to also focus the opponents attention on keeping themselves balanced, a great opening for the user to perform a follow up to strike the opponent down. Another would be surrounding the field, collecting dust fragments from the ground & combining such to form similar things to sandstorms. A great way to attempt to blind the opponent(s). This method is also a good way to fight against multiple opponents.
Streams/Projectiles - These sort of jutsu rely on creating blasts at such a compressed rate that on collision it would have near enough the same affect as being hit by a solid object. But these jutsu also require a large amount of focus & precision due to the size of the jutsu usually being a small one so are usually best used in situations that including having the opponent off balanced or unfocused & usually at a close range to the user. These type of wind jutsu are usually base on blunt force damage. But an exception would be "Rasenshuriken". This not only applies a large amount of blunt force but also piercing damage. The sphere within is similar to the rasengan with the exception of having wind release mixed it within to aid in creating the spirals that revolved around the rasengan. The spirals act as miniscule thin blades of wind that peirce through the target damaging them on a cellular level.
Wind Blades - Similar in use as weaponry techniques, Wind release also include jutsu that create thin blades of wind that can be shot toward a target, easily slicing through as it takes an even further compressed form than that of wind streams or blasts, having the wind take on an appearance of a blade. Sherlock observed his new teacher as he walked towards him and introduced himself. Dean seemed to be a pretty serious guy to him. A no nonsense kind of guy who meant business, so Sherlock too got serious and listened carefully as Dean asked him his first set of questions about the element he had come to learn from Dean.

"Well done. Basically, Wind is weak to Fire because it feeds the flames. Scenario time! I blast a fireball towards you, and you blast a Wind blast. Because Fire itself needs oxygen, the Wind gives the fire that oxygen boost. So basically it acts as an enhancement. My method is as follows. I will explain the jutsu, then I want you to perform it with great detail. After that, give me at least two advantages and disadvantages of the jutsu and how you could use it in battle. Also ask questions if you have any.
Now for your first jutsu in the Wind element, I want you to mold your Wind based chakra, and release it from your mouth in the form of a small blast of Wind. A very basic jutsu, but it can be useful as it does not require any handseals. I want you to release that blast of Wind at my clone, as he throws a kunai at you, to knock it away! Do it quick though, as the kunai could seriously injure you if you don't blast it away! Remember, good detail, and advantages, disadvantages, how you would use it in battle and if you have any questions about the jutsu, then ask!"

Sherlock begins manipulating his chakra as he sees Dean's clone running at him from a long distance, about 15 meters. Realizing he doesn't have much time he focuses fully on moulding his chakra. He imagines how being hit by strong wind would feel and his chakra begins to feel more cooler as it transforms into wind chakra. He then looks straight at the clone who is now around 8 meters away from Sherlock and has thrown a Kunai. Sherlock quickly exhales his wind chakra in the form of small wind blasts at the Kunai and the clone. The Kunai gets blown away by the small wind blast and Dean is pushed behind by the wind blasts' impact.
Advantages
- Useful to slow down the enemy or increase the distance between us if the enemy is trying to get too close.
- Can be used to increase the power of fire techs.
- Can be used to pin an enemy down in a close combat fight when you are in air or above the opponent.
Disadvantages

Ah sry forgot that one.
I'd use it alongside free form. Especially when I'm above my enemy, so I can pin him down on the ground with the impact of the small blasts. I can also use it against Raiton projectiles upto C Ranks. I can use it to power up fire techs like Demon Lantern before launching them at my opponent.

Sherlock begins rapidly building his chakra and when he feels he has built enough chakra, he manipulates it to form wind and exhales it from his mouth, in the form of gusts of wind, towards the ground. The gust of wind lodges the sand into air and into clone Dean's eyes, blinding him. The clone swears in style just like Dean, while rubbing his eyes xD. Sherlock quickly throws a Kunai at the clone's chest piercing him and sending him out with a pffing sound.
Advantages
- The gust of wind can be useful to empower small fireballs or fire jutsus.
- Effective against upto C Rank Lightning techs.
- Handy to create a distraction for the opponent.
- It seems like a great tech to use prior to launching a weapon assault. One can quickly strike the opponent with a Katana after using this tech.
Disadvantages
- Can only be performed on a sandy terrain.
- Useless against Sensors as they can still sense the opponent with eyes closed and against byakugan users who can see through closed eye lids.
How will I use it in a battle
I'd use it in combo with Tai or freeform or even Kenjutsu. To blind my opponent and get him by surprise or to blind my opponent and increase the distance between us if he is too strong. I can also use it to distract my opponent and create a clone and hide it to prepare for something big.

- The gust of wind can be useful to empower small fireballs or fire jutsus.

- Handy to create a distraction for the opponent.
- It seems like a great tech to use prior to launching a weapon assault. One can quickly strike the opponent with a Katana after using this tech.
Disadvantages
- Can only be performed on a sandy terrain.
- Useless against Sensors as they can still sense the opponent with eyes closed and against byakugan users who can see through closed eye lids.
How will I use it in a battle
I'd use it in combo with Tai or freeform or even Kenjutsu. To blind my opponent and get him by surprise or to blind my opponent and increase the distance between us if he is too strong. I can also use it to distract my opponent and create a clone and hide it to prepare for something big.

"Now, whilst in mid air, manipulate your Wind based chakra inside your lungs. Mold it, and release it from your mouth to change the trajectory of your body with great speed. This is basically a way to dodge an incoming linear technique or projectile, now put it in action! Dodge this kunai!!"
