Strong points
  • The primary use of this technique is evasion and what a better way to evade. When in the air, the difficulty in avoiding on coming attacks is higher, however this jutsu gives you the mobility in the air you wouldn't have otherwise.

  • As this technique gives you freedome of direction, almost to the point as if you were planted on the ground, you could use this technique to change your direction and not just for evading attacks but for concealing yourself. Example, say you jump up straight to avoid an attack and there is large tree with leaves and branches thick enough for you to hide in towards your left, you could use this jutsu to blow yourself into the midst of the tree and conceal your movements.

  • Lastly, the definition defined within the jutsu allows you to conceal your movements by kicking up dust with the wind (should you shoot off from the ground). Similar to the other technique this provides you cover for you.

Weak points
  • Despite the added freedom of mobility within the air, this could be used to you're opponant's advantage should should he have hid a trap or expected you to use this, although this is a shot that is rare.

  • In the case where you're outnumbered; either in a team battle and you've been isolated, summons, clones. You may be able to change direction but your opponent(s) could immediantly follow up with another attack.

  • This justu also leaves you suseptible of projectiles are thrown to you with added explosives where, pending on how long the stream is, if the projectiles gets close enough to you, it could still ignite even if kept out of immediant range of the weapon and explode, which will mess up your equilibrium (sorry I can't spellxd)

Combinations-strategies Simply put, my favorite strategy since I'm a sneaky little bastard, would be to use this jutsu to quickly hide within a large cover of some sort like a thick tree or tall stalks (depending on the cover provided) and then I would follow up with a diversion such as creating clones to be sent our or casting a genjutsu and then while they deal with that I could attack lethally.

Ways to counter this technique Throw kunai laced with powerful explosives which would pose strong enough to blow you off your course and have your winds dispersed and your equilibrium skewed. A powerful fire jutsu or stronger winds to combat the stream, have a back up plan such as clones or summons who could immediantly pick up the slack and attack from another direction.

Now before we move on to C-Ranks. I'd like you to come up with a combination attack against my clone. You can use any other techniques you've learned in other elements but I'd like you to include at least one or two wind techniques.

It was okay, although you miss-used that genjutsu. You are suppose to run towards your enemy while throwing the paper bombs then place the seal on his forehead to activate all the explosions.

Would you mind re-trying it please? Don't be afraid to include some free-form tai or anything else like kunais and such. My clone won't be attacking back, I'd just like to see what you'd do in battle. I know this is a very hard thing to do, considering the wind techniques you've learned so far are not really suited for good combat situations.

Description: The user uses their Giant Folding fan or Giant Fan and swing it forwards at the target creating a single spinning disk of wind that ressembles a demon wind shuriken. A non wielder of the Giant Folding Fan or Giant Fan can perform this technique with use of two hand seals and releasing wind from their mouth and using shape manipulation to form the disk of wind.
After performing the two necessary hand seals, you will take a deep breath and focus your wind chakra inside of your lungs. You will then release the wind from your mouth. Using shape manipulation you will shape that wind you released into a disk of air that heads towards your desired target.

Yeah, I know of the AACT, I look at them from time to time, not recently though.


Strong points
  • The natural speed of the wind makes this technique even more deadly, as it's naturally fast, you're basically throwing a large projectile faster then you normally could with your arm, you're controlling the air and wind around you to make this possible.

  • Windmill Shuriken being rather large entities, with this technique you can use this weapon (figurativly, as that's how the jutsu is described) and it can be used to cut through objects, mainly for the innitial attack or it could be used to dice objects and be used as a diversion for a stronger technique.

  • If you're in possession of a fan, the simple action of waving it makes this jutsu easier then preforming random hand seals.

Weak points
  • When met with wind techniques of greater cutting power this jutsu is useless, and in theory this is a technique that seems like it can be evaded easly as the wind chakra is confined into the two shuriken rather then an actual wide spread of blade like winds. Although I'm not entirely sure.

  • Since this is still a relitively low level jutsu, most fire techniques, if not all, can not only be used as a defense but as a counter to render the winds useless, although the winds could weaken the fires meaning less damage, however this all depends on the level of the fire jutsu used to cmobat it.

  • If you don't possess the fan, I suppose the seals required would give it away as a weakness in time consumption, although it's only two, however for a Sharingan user, to have them see and predict this move via the hand seals, would make this a weakness, as the Fan would't be a direct give away as to the dynamics of the Jutsu I suspect.
Combinations-strategies Utilize a distraction while you're hidden such as having clones go out or haveing a single clone go out and having your opponent confused, thining it's you. Have your clone provide an attack/attacks that would have your opponent run directly into the wind blades when you preform the jutsu, a case where the two hand seals would be useful over the fan.

Ways to counter this technique Blast the hell out of those shuriken with a more powerful wind or fire jutsu, sorry that's all that's coming to mind at the moment, I normally have more.

(Futon: Joushou Arashi Kabe no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Rising Tempest Wall Technique

  • Well simple enough, this jutsu will be useful to knock your opponent out of range for certian ninjutsu and taijutsu attacks, or leave you open to preform a mid/long ranged jutsu. Also useful for pushing your opponents into objects like a tree or a rock, etc.

  • I'd imagine you'd be able to repell objects with this attack, since this is a burst of wind first and formost wouldn't the preassure make it so it was strong enough to force back certian small objects or projectiles?

  • N/A (Can't think of another good use)

  • Without the use of a fan, knocking your opponent upwards wouldn't be an attribute of this technique to lift them off the ground, which would mean their technique appears to be easy to avoid.

  • I couldn't imagine any type of fire jutsu that wouldn't be able to defeat this technique rather easily, as this technique seems to be more of a distancing one.

Combinations-strategies If you somehow managed to set up a trap, this jutsu would be very useful in forcing your opponent into that trap. For example, you have a trap where you've rigged several explosive tags between a set of trees, and once your opponent steps foot between them, BOOM!

Ways to counter this technique Fire jutsu at the basic level or stronger, more wide spread winds, or simply evading the innitial blast or blocking it with some sort of sheild or kekkai jutsu.

What that would add would be the more resistance your opponent will need to defend against this jutsu.

  • Similar to the previous jutsu, I'd imagine this technique this technique would be great against projectiles, this time on a sort of wider range and causing more resistance thanks to the range of the wind itself.

  • This seems like a great technique to use in conjunction with a Katon jutsu, maybe as simple as the Fireball jutsu in order to spread the range of that jutsu, although only mid ranged it may not increase that much other then to spread the jutsu a little wider, not so much further in actual range.

  • Although this is a more wide spread technique, since it's only classed mid ranged, this technique seems easy to get out of range of.

  • The jutsu doesn't seem to have cutting power or that much of any real harm other then to force you opponent away from you and get them out of range so to speak, so really this technique doesn't have much of a damaging quality to it.

  • Still a relitively weak jutsu, still most fire jutsu within the range to be able to harm, would be able to defeat this techniuqe. I believe an element has one rank advantage on it's weaker, for example the fireball jutsu would probably be the equivilant to B rank in strength towards this C-ranked fire jutsu, or something like that, I'm not entirely sure on how that works, I'll read up on it but you get what I'm saying right?xd

Combinations-strategies I'd love to have this combined with a fire jutsu to just increase the potency of the flames and the wider ranger (not the distance) of them.

Ways to counter this technique Like before, this is a short to mid ranged technique, simply put you could used a turn of yours or be cleaver enough to find a way to get yourself to long ranged which would make this jutsu useless...actually if this jutsu's primary purpose is to force you back then you'd be basically doing that by moving back yourself, I guess the only advantage to this is you wouldn't take damage am I correctxd In this case at least.

I believe an element has one rank advantage on it's weaker, for example the fireball jutsu would probably be the equivilant to B rank in strength towards this C-ranked fire jutsu, or something like that, I'm not entirely sure on how that works, I'll read up on it but you get what I'm saying right?xd

Combinations-strategies I'd love to have this combined with a fire jutsu to just increase the potency of the flames and the wider ranger (not the distance) of them.

Ways to counter this technique Like before, this is a short to mid ranged technique, simply put you could used a turn of yours or be cleaver enough to find a way to get yourself to long ranged which would make this jutsu useless...actually if this jutsu's primary purpose is to force you back then you'd be basically doing that by moving back yourself, I guess the only advantage to this is you wouldn't take damage am I correctxd In this case at least.

With the fire and wind clashing, what happens is the fire jutsu looses speed and momentum and the wind does have some affect in pushing back the force of the technique which is why it would result in a weaker fire jutsu should two same level wind and fire techniques clash. When the two elements work in conjunction in the same direction it increases the potency of the fire and widens (elongates) it's ragne. When the elements are combine, that's when the technical terms of adding the ranks.

Ways to counter this technique You could counter this by getting out of the immedieant direciton of the stream, since this technique seems to be like the stream before so it would be traveling in a sort of refined direction and not much widespread

Good you picked you pretty much everything I wanted you to. Also I wanted you to notice the combination of techniques and the distance increase. So for example if you release a short ranged fireball and fuel it with a midrange wind blast it will combine into one rank higher and go up to mid range.

As for your ways to counter the technique, you never want to avoid a technique by simply moving away from your. You have to defend against it with another technique. The only way you could get away by simply moving away is if there was say... a mist in the field and you moved to a different location and without seeing you the opponent still released the wind at your last known location. Now the only way to accomplish something like that is by pretty much replying on how your reading his move and that wouldn't be very realistic. Although there comes some times that you can anticipate it from past experiences before your opponent even posted his move.

Now we will be going back to the regular jutsu list

  • There are still ways to defeat this justu rather easily, simply by throwing weapons of greater mass to combat them.

  • Although it's another gust of wind, the fact that it's ongoing wind (until the jutsu is complete) means it has standing consistancy in it's power as it'll keep blowing with the same intensity, and, unless your opponent can do more then just get blown away by the technique, they're sitting ducks for the entire ride.

Question: When the jutsu says superior, does that mean if this jutsu is used on an opponent a rank below you it has that amount of power, like if I were to use this technique on a jounin level shinobi, or is that just something to the jutsu that doesn't have any real meaning other then implying strong people make this jutsu more notable?

Ways to counter this technique As I said before, set up a barrier that like the mudwall, which has greater rank and chakra input to render the powerful gusts irrelivant.

Question: When the jutsu says superior, does that mean if this jutsu is used on an opponent a rank below you it has that amount of power, like if I were to use this technique on a jounin level shinobi, or is that just something to the jutsu that doesn't have any real meaning other then implying strong people make this jutsu more notable?

As for the question; Well... the description is simply copy pasted from wikipedia so in the anime it was plausible for stronger ninja to be more effective with it. But in our RP all techniques are equal no matter who uses them. Now the speed in which the hand seals are done between ranks is a different story.

Yeah, I can understand the thing with hand seals. If I were fighting a Sannin ranked shinobi or a kage ranked shinobi, they may be able to actually cast their jutsu out faster then I would, however the timeframe rule thing still plays into affect right? That's just my guess on the matter.

Strong points
  • This technique and type of gust does more then simply push or force your opponent back, it actually has cutting power behind it, and it causes several slashes, deep enough, that if they cut through certian parts of the body, they can casuse sever damage via blood loss or cutting arteries or organs.

  • This jutsu has cutting power, meaning that it could potentially ignite paper bombs on projectiles or that are attached to tress or other surfaces that have been taged as well.

  • There's a great range for this jutsu, it's not just short, mid, or long, it accounts for every range and the gust varries in the width as well meaning it's blades can cover several parts of the body.
Weak points
  • Without the use of a weapon like a blade or a fan, which would allow you to simply wave the it and create the sicle winds, this requires handseals meaning that it'll take some time to actually cast the activation seals before you can actually use the jutsu

  • The initial winds that are exhaled aren't blade like winds, they become blade like when they are used in conjunction with the hand seals, so the winds are just a simple gust before they have the added blade like qualities to them.

  • Although enough to cause damage if hit in certian places on the body, the wounds caused from this jutsu are rather shallow so the chance that they don't hit vital spots, means they're just cuts and more then likely they can be fought through.
Combinations-strategies I could see this jutsu being used with exploding tags, in a prior move, unknown to my opponent (if I'm that good) I could plant paper bombs on the field to lay dormant until I ignite them with this jutsu. I would then try to lure my opponent into vacinity enough for the explosion to kill or affect them with at least back lash, and then I would use this jutsu from as safe distance.

Ways to counter this technique Again, I would say a thick enough earth wall, I mean I'm sure that is thicker then two inches. Possibly a jutsu with a larger density like a water dragon or vortex to simply force through the winds.

Channling my futton chakra from my diaphram, up through my lungs and out my mouth, as I continue creating the seals, I exhale all at once creating a large gust of wind, which then becomes amplified in it's affectiveness as they sharpen into blade like winds and make slashes on the tree in front of me*
