It's actually just Wind Release. I made Lightning Release first but I saw he already has two students learning it. So, I wanted to make things less monoton for my sensei.

Um, well, thank you for the concern. o_o' I am fine, I have a lot of threads in each section so the repetitiveness is alright. It's the students that make it unique, and I learn a lot every day.

Anyways, getting a feel for Wind already, are we? May I ever so kindly know why you want to learn Wind and how you personally plan to use it creatively in battle?

I want to lern Wind Release for it's great offences. I'm fascinated by wind, more than every other element. I love how wind gives my chills when it's being cold. These small thing, on the first view irrelevant feelings, make me realise that I'm a human that senses. Tornados make me realise how small and helpless I am. I like how wind can't destroy everything that's on his way, even faster and more effectivcely than fire. In general, I like the feeling of being superior to other thing just like the magnificant wind does it.

 

[Adachi]

An honest answer at its very best. Yes, elements at its greatest...the sublime. I personally enjoy traveling to mountains and engaging myself in deep thoughts and relaxing scenery at the very top, and the Wind has such a great impact on such flights.

Nonetheless, it is also around us. Take a moment, and meditate. Feel it, sense it flowing around us at this very moment.
Then, when you think you know, tell me how you might believe Wind chakra flows.

 

[Thoth]

*sits, closes and starts meditating*
He starts feeling the wind on his skin. It's such a beautiful feeling that makees you feel cold, but at the same time stisfied. Satisfied to be able to breathe the air and sense is. It makes you appreciate your life. You just a small, unimportant humam in the universe. You must be happy to have to live it. While questioning his belives, he slowly starts releasing his chakra from the body. Whilst releasing his chakra, he starts feeling something in his stomach. It's his chakra going crazy from founding it's twin from the nature. He feels the chakra spread through his body. It spreads in all directions of his body, being small, but fast and sharp and in large quantities. At the peak, he opens his eyes and feels a small expanding from his body.

 

[Adachi]

Great concentration. Nothing like the air to make us feel how alive we are, haha.
That's a very nice grasp of Wind thus far. Do you remember what Asuma also told Naruto about Wind chakra?

Okay, before we dive into the first jutsu, could you explain to me Wind's weakness and strengths?

 

[Thoth]

You think about Asuma saying that Wind Element is really rere? I remember. ^.^

Wind Release is one of the basic five elements. It's strongest from close and mid-ranged fight, but can be very affective on a large-ranged fights. It allows the user to make sharp currnets, tornados that cut everything in their way. It's weak against fire because wind only spreads fire. It's strong against lightning because wind is a natural isulator for lightning. It's a component of a kekkei genkai Ice Release and a kekkei tota Dust Release.

 

[Adachi]

Well said. ^_^
So, now let's start with the basics.
Take this leaf. Imagine it in a cutting style, knives slicing against one another, and then cut the leaf in half with only your chakra.
Remember to place the leaf within the folds of your hand.

 

[Thoth]

*grabs the leaf and puts it within the folds on his palms*
He starts collecting his Futon chakra in his stomach. Then, he starts transporting it torwards his palms. When chakra reaches his palms, he closes his eyes and starts concentrating really hard. He's imagening how he's cutting the leaf in half. He's putting great effort and at first, he sees a little scratch on it. He puts more chakra and he concentrates even harder and sees the half oh the lef being cut. At the peak, he invests the rest of the chakra, opens his eyes and sees the leaf is halved.

 

[Adachi]

Well done. ^_^ I hope you feel at least a bit accomplished...
We'll begin with a simple move then, if you don't mind.
I want you to begin gathering the sand upon the ground around you with your chakra. Slowly clump this together into a mass of sand and then carefully control it to hit the tree behind you.

 

[Thoth]

*starts collecting his chakra*
He stops when he feels that it's enough. He starts his chakra torwards his palms. When his Wind Release chakra gets therem, he puts his palms on the ground. He carefully starts releasing his chakra from his palms and partially from the rest of the body. He puts a lot of effort and sees that the sand is starting to raise from the land. He puts more chakra and all of the sand rashly raises pretty high into the sky. Then, he fasty stands up, closes his eyes and concentrates his wind chakra all over his body, and as the sand is falling, it starts circling arround his body. Then, he really carefully starts moving his hands and the sand is following them. At the peak, he severly pushes the hands torwards the tree, and the sand hits the tree.

Very nice job on controlling the sand properly. However, instead of aiming at the tree, how would the purpose and impact of this change in battle if you aimed it at an actual opponent?

 

[Thoth]

If there was an actual opponent, I think the purpose of this techique would be to blind him. I would aim the sand torwards the opponent's eyes.

 

[Adachi]

Excellent. And what types of things might this also be able to defend against?
Name two.

 

[Thoth]

Well, I remember this techique from when Temari used it in anime. So, it can be used to make people slip on it and lose their balance. (not what you've asked, but I wanted to say that^^).

It can be a defence against some weak, D-ranked Lightning Release techiques and can be used to overcome smoke bombs.

 

[Adachi]

Ah, yes, Temari would be a fan of such jutsus. It can also block against Ninja weapons, blowing away a whole assault of it. Well put, Thoth. ^_^

In layman's terms... During the storm cold air and warm air combine in a set pattern: the cold air drops as the warm air rises. The warm air eventually twists into a spiral and forms the funnel cloud that we all associate with a tornado.
