Wind Affinity

Hey im just asking for opinions but dont you find it weird that wind affinity is very rare in the leaf village.

maybe because Fire is the dominant affinity in Konoha :shrug: I mean after all it's in the land offire

Heh, yeah it is a bit strange.

That, and that fire style is (or was) used by such a large component of the population.

Fire + leaves = not good. xd

Anyway, I don't think it is named for what jutsu are most used there. It is named because of its location! Konoha is surrounded by forested areas!

Who says it's rare? Danzo has it, Naruto has it, Asuma has it, and probably a bunch of fodders have it as well but never get any screen time

Danzo could use wind. check out Sasuke and him fight. He use wind all the time. Not to mention his kunai turns out into a wind sword.

Well fire is also rare in the other villages. However, it seems only Asuma, Danzo and Naruto had wind release in Konoha.

But also Minato Namikaze, where Namikaze actually means: "waves and wind", so it is possible that the Namikaze clan were specializing in using wind release. It could also explain why Minato can cut so many things easily with his kunai.

Suna probably have more wind release specialized shinobi than the rest.

i think lands are based on their most common afinity , and least common affinity would be the inferior affinity to their most common affinity , e.g. sunagakure = wind and lightning is yet to be demonstrated by a suna shinobi/kunoichi

3rd kazekage I believe had both and it being magnetic release.
