[Question] Will you get infracted for turning a spam or troll thread into a spiderman thread?

Just curious. I know it would be spam to put it into a thread with legitimate purposes, but if the thread itself is spam or a troll thread, and I've already reported the thread, may I turn it into a spiderman thread to pass the time?

Back in the day it wasnt that big of a deal.. actually back in the day trolls were quite entertaining. Lol and they didnt really get banned cause it was just so funny. Lol..

You can put it in the chatter box that you want to have a meme war.. back in the day it was very popular to do so. :3

As has been said yes you could potentially be infracted. That the thread was a spam thread from the get-go doesn't really matter much as by making such posts in it, you just contribute to the spamfest. After all such threads are not meant to be 'on topic', so paradoxically enough you are actually doing what that thread was meant for. If you see a spam thread, you should just report it, ignore it and not post in it.

Even though unlikely, it has happened before that a mod started dealing out infractions to everyone in the thread and a post you just described would definitely be infracted if such a mod would have seen it.
