Will you kill your own family and relatives and friends?

Suppose you are the Uchiha, your people have been selected out for being a potential threat.. yet you are the most loyal to the village. So your clan leaders start to plan a coup to take some political power back , in the very village your people help create. And one day you are asked upon by your konoha leaders to kill the clan because they would be killed anyway just because they attempted to take back political power.

What will you do?

I am not naive enough to think that killing my friends , relatives and family would be the answer. So I would instead talk to both sides, and the people of the village about the situation. Hence maintaining the strength and stabalization of the village, and I will try to get the power hungry man out of Konoha politics.

You act as if the village would have just let the Uchiha take over, but they wouldn't they would have fought.

There was no take over.. where is the proof? So far the people who have talked about it have been the people who were on the government's side.. =].

And I actually don't care for Hiruzen.. because he let a maniac like Danzo run part of the government.. which is the key to all the disasters of Konoha... Out of all the Hokage Hiruzen made the most mistakes. So why should I care about what he agrees to? His clan isn't the one that got moved to a corner.. his clan isn't the one that was blamed for a terrorist attack.

I have and yes Danzo was a power hungry ****(at least in my eyes.) but he wasn't the only one who made the decision.
You also forget that Shisui and Itachi were the ones who were feeding them the information. Why would they want there own clan killed? If the Uchiha just wanted a bit of political power don't you think they would have compromised?

Here is the proof. Coming from an Uchiha.

I include Hiruzen because he is said to be a loving Hokage; he didn't even have the heart to kill Orochimaru. If he agrees with the massacre what is there to argue about? Something horrible would have obviously happened.
