[Discussion] Will we see anything from Ivan this arc?

Being that this war is an invasion and clash of continents, does anybody expect to see Ivan during this arc? Do you guys think he will shape up and help? I would love to see more of his abilities. Really hope he makes an appearance

At this point, Ivan is as fodder as Sakura. His relevancy in the story is at a full zero.

Unless of course, Makarov's about to die and he has a change of heart or something.

Ivan has got to be the most underdeveloped villain in the show. We still don't know why he got expelled from Fairy Tail, how he knows about Fairy Heart, or what caused Raven Tail to get disbanded. I always figured that Mashima was gonna bring him back at some point to resolve the conflict between him, Makarov, and Laxus, but now that the final battles are approaching, it's looking far less likely. I think Mashima set his character aside in case he ever decided to use him to advance the plot, but at this point, it would just be weird if he showed up in the middle of a war.
