But Sasuke was more than ready to cut his bonds with Sakura and Naruto to achieve his goal of revenge. He said it many times and admitted in chapter 698 that he was afraid of new bonds because he thought it was a weakness, since he became this messed up person because he lost the dearest ones to him. That's why he thinks of his family when Kakashi said "Sakura loves you so much that it breaks her heart". Sasuke loved his family so much that it broke so badly his heart and led him to fall into darkness later.

And Sakura was a fangirl in part 1, but she is mature now and even Kakashi stated that her love for Sasuke was on a totally different level and that her goal was to save him. You also forgot that she was the one who was wiling to kill Sasuke first. She was holding a poisoned kunai to throw on him and he noticed this. Sakura wasn't a defenseless victim, she lost the reason when she went there intending to kill him. He wasn't in his right state of mind and for a character as Sasuke, it means nothing. He tried to kill Naruto many times even considering him his friend. When Sasuke is a jerk to Team 7 members, it doesn't mean that he hates them, but pretty much the opposite: he always cared for them (he said that Team 7 was like his second family) and he believed that he should cut his bonds with them to achieve his goals.

And now Kishi pulled another 180 of Sasuke character as the last ditch just for the sake to look up Sakura character positively and accept that Sasuke care for team 7?? I don't think so, wtf happened to Sasuke when he's been scouting the entirety of Shippuden?? There was no such implication for Sasuke to feel compassion with Team 7, He literally gives no f*ck about team 7 especially Sakura, he told Naruto and Sakura to lay off his d!ck and yet Sakura still skulking over Sasuke kun, she hasn't grown one bit. It doesn't matter if her attitude is slighly more mature, it's the fact that her obsession for Sasuke from day one is off the roof gives.

Please don't tell me you actually believe Kakashi words?? it doesn't matter when Sakura action is louder than words. Just like how many people defend Sakura character when Kakashi said that Sakura wasn't trying to take over Sasuke but in the end it all ends up confirmed.

Sakura made herself cleared that she will not hesitate to kill sasuke but in every dire situation, she had no idea wtf she's doing, she always end up crying. It gives her backward development because Sasuke treated her like dirt bags and Sakura still holds back for Sasuke kun.

Problem with Sasuke is that the way it was executed in Shippuden was poorly handle

My two favorite moments of them: when Sakura hugged him in the forest of death and when Sasuke was willing to die to allow Naruto to save Sakura from Gaara and called them both dear to him.

Sasuke never was the cold hearted as he pretended to be in 70% of this manga. His true self is the one who always cared for the dear people to him and that was willing to die for them during many times. But due to his revenge, he tried to cut his bonds with them and that's why he was acting like an assh*le to them in Shippuden, because he had sunk into darkness to achieve his goals. Sasuke in chapter 699 wasn't OOC, this is his true self, as he was before the Uchiha massacre and during some time in part 1. Now he is redeemed and doesn't have a reason anymore to push away those dear to him.

And it's not obsession. Naruto is more "obsessed" with Sasuke than Sakura, he even lost an arm to save his friend. Since this manga is about a unbreakable bonds, Sakura giving up on Sasuke would be pointless as Naruto giving up on Sasuke's friendship. It would be totally out of the main theme of the story.

Like I said , these were one of few moments that Sasuke did felt toward his teammate specifically toward for his ambition, not Sakura herself but it won't make up your argument due to majority of Shippuden, Sasuke was driven into darkness to set his goal to kill Itachi and onto next to the hidden leaf so on and so forth. Sasuke only true bond is Naruto not Team 7. Please stop overlooking things to justify his characters, they havn't shown any significance for Sasuke back track record, he's only interested in achieving his goal.

Sakura is still obsessed with Sasuke that she had to rely naruto to bring back sasuke for her because she's useless.
