Will there ever be a successful relationship in Naruto?

Well romance is portrayed absolutely atrociously in this series. I think Shikamaru and Temari has the best shot though, to be honest. It's the only relationship that isn't...well...non-existent/unreciprocated.

Also, I hope Kishimoto realizes that most people don't fall in love seriously when they're 6, not to mention keep being interested for 10 years even though you're being treated like shit.

But if he changed the kage system, he wouldn't fulfill his dream of becoming hokage. And Temari has a high position in Suna, not to mention how her brother is the kazekage...

There are romantic moments but that's about it. The manga doesn't focus on that type of relationship. Maybe in the end there may be a union or two but unless something changes, not while the story is still playing out.

Yeah the anime is stretching out the romantic side of the manga, I just don't see much happening in the end. Maybe a union or two at the LAST chapter but that's about it. It's sad because there could be some rich story development if Kishi chooses to but like he said himself, it's just not his style.

Who knows? Kishi rules the Naruto world and he might suprise us all, we just gotta wait and see.
