World war started in
July 28, 1914 – and ended on November 11, 1918

World war 2 started

September 1, 1939 – and ended on September 2, 1945

Last 100 years there have been 2 world wars. Life expectancy in the uk (2012) 81.50 years

• The average chance of a 20-year-old to reach 100 is 23%; however women aged 20 have a 26.6% chance - heavily contrasting with the male 19.5%. A lot of us are under 20 by a few years so, there is quite a decent chance that we all live around 80 more years.

If there have been 2 world wars in 100 hundred years don't you think if we most of us live 80 more years we will witness a ww3? Who knows, maybe ww3 has already been scheduled. As you know, war is very profitable and there will be a lot of people in power coming in and going out. All we need is one person in power to make a "mistake".

doesn't presently seem likely. ISIS is the most notable major threat right now and i don't think they are powerful enough to spur a world war and i doubt they ever will be.

Also, Time has nothing to do with war.

Not in the way the last 2 were fought. It would likely be fought similar to how wars are fought today against terrorist organisations but on a much wider scale.

WW3 is already happening. 100+ world countries are under the USA's and EU's boot. Now the fact that it's currently more of an economic war rather than mass genocide is a different pair of shoes.

Most likely. War is inevitable no matter what anyone tells you. It's apart of nature.

I guess this depends on the type of people we put to lead our countries and as of today, those are bad chances.

No, war will not come to pass.

Technology has advanced in leaps and bounds since WW1/WW2; such a war would cause unprecedented destruction. You may get the "jokers" like Putin who play chicken in the road, but all know how dangerous a hypothetical war would be and none want that; even if only to preserve their own lives. The Cuban Missile Crisis of the Cold War proved that.

Besides, the dynamics of relationships between nations is different than in the previous wars. There's only three (main) potential aggressors - Russia, China and North Korea vs. the rest of the world.

NK is weak and China and Russia have poor strategic, deployment and technological standards. Pit them against the USA, Europe, Japan and SK (plus other countries signed in mutual defence treaties like the Philippines) and as Ollivander said to Harry Potter, "You really don't stand a chance".

It's currently happening but in a different way; everyone is trying to hack each other. This time will be most likely a world war in the technology field.

Eventually, sure.
I agree.

WWI was started by a long line of events that shouldn't have happened. It was wasteful, dramatic crap. WWII started due to Germany trying to recover & accepting mad dictators out of desperation. Basically a giant mess evolving into a horrific aftermath.

WWIII will likely happen but as far as who starts (or maybe just pulled in--might not have any one country to blame) it, who gets caught up in it, who wins or the decades following is beyond me.
