None of them are necessities, like food or water, there is no reason to annihilate humanity for some gold. By the time those resources become scarce(hundreds of years) technology will be so advanced we probably won't need them anymore, like oil.

Actually, Russia's President Putin has been pressing the issue that WW3 is inevitable. Trump may come off as idiotic, but at least he is willing to solve the Russia and US relations to decrease tension. Under Obama admin., the Russia and US relations are at a all time high. Conquest of power? Just because most countries in the EU can't properly handle their economy and citizens, doesn't mean that Germany is trying to somehow exploit their weaknesses to increase their own power of influence or what ever the f*ck you meant. Germany just happens to be run by professional people who possess common sense and what not. I live there and trust me there is no conspiracy or anything like that going on.
