[Discussion] Will the SH ever get a big group?

So at the time when Luffy becomes the Pirate King do you believe he will have a big group of people like Roger,WB and many others had.

Basicly too many to name,fodders in the back.Or will he stick to a small group?

Honestly I would love for them to introduce a big crew but it would be a pain to have all the nameless characters so close to luffy so it would have to be done near the ending.Maybe he will take over WB's crew

So with tht being said u also got to remeber he's getting respect from a lot of different islands and countries and even wants to adopt fishman island as his own from big mam
If push comes to shove and Luffy (a long time after he's been on new world) gets into a jam tht is like a war 9/10 these different countries and islands would offer their support not to mention shanks would let nothing bad ever happen to Luffy and the whiteboard pirates partially Marco wouldn't let nothing happen to him

Law is in alliance so tht would drag him in as well though I he would've joined anyway

So yeah 2 me Luffy good he's getting support from alot of ppl

I personally wouldn't like that idea.I'm always for a less number,even now they are too many.That is why my favorite character is Mihawk-travels by himself yet he is so powerful.
I wouldn't mind them being Luffy's followers tho,as long as they don't fight for him.

Having a large group is too shallow of an expression, to me its either him having a fleet, him having an alliance, or just a big number of important Nakama, like 20 of them or maybe less.

True tho I don't think Luffy would ever let Anyone take the fight from him cuz he loves to fight ...unless he's in a meal then he would continue to eat..

Luffy has Zoro and Sanji ... the rest arent all that weak either and their are only gonna get stronger

a big crew would completely destroy the story because every new member means less time for the present SHs we know and love ... IMO Oda shouldnt go over 10 ... maybe 11 but that would begin to stretch it

the ylso don't need it ... if we look at Marineford war who had the navy VS MANY MANY pirate crewS ... all the weaklings were completely unnecessary ... it could have easily been Garp, Sengoku, Admirals and Mihawk VS WB and his couple of TOP commanders and whoever of those very few ppl would win would practically win teh war after

so it would be about 6 v 6, the rest ... even most sichibukai and commanders couldnt do shit once either the Marines or WB strongers members would be taken out ... it would either be WB wreaking havoc, rescuing Ace and sinking the island or the Admirals eliminating the porates

there was little more sense behind noname ppl to fight than the dramatic effect and symbolism

+ there are very fe ppl as close to the PK title as Mihawk (dunno if he would want to become the king though) yet he travels alone ... and Zoro is gonna surpass him

I doubt they will get a big crew, however, I wouldn't be surprised if the Strawhat Pirates ally with several other crews in the end. It's hard to predict the final amount of members in the crew, but I can see the number reaching up to 12.

i think there will be the original 11 nakama (luffy and his 10 crew members)
and then they will all be division commanders (after a 10 year timeskip, seems about right to me)

15 Maximum. Though all he wants to do is prove his OWN strength and be the freest man on the sea, I still think it'd be ridiculous if he took over the New World with just 10 people when there are stronger pirates with fleets like Kaidou and Blackbeard etc.

Though the Straw Hats defeating 100,000 Fishman and going after Kaidou and his whole devil fruit army right now may be Oda's way of showing us its possible to own the New World with a few people if they play strategically. The next few members seriously need to be at least as strong as Franky or Brook. Anyone weaker is just not acceptable.

He already has a huge NAMED army at his side:

* People from Arlong Park and Johnny and Yosaku
* Koshiro and Zeff and their students and chefs
* Giants from Little Garden and maybe in the future Elbaf
* Kureha, Dalton and his army from Drum Island
* Alabasta Army, pell and the Jackall
* Skypedians and Gan Fall
* Galley-La and Franky family, possibly CP-9
* Timeskip friends (Hancock, Ivankov, etc.) Maybe Mihawk.
* Fishman princes and king, Ancient weapon Shirahoshi.
* Some enemies turned friend, Crocodile, Mr. 1 2 3, Buggy etc.

So maybe not all of them will show up, but I think most of them will make a re-appearance in some kind off big final war against the corrupt/absolute justice branch of the marines.

Luffy will have a small crew of 10 to 15 people. But the people he has impacted throughout the story will come to his aid in a time of need. So in a way with a call for help Luffy could have the fiercest crew/army the OP world has every seen. Going to be epic lol.

Nah, I don't think so. I think they'll have allies, but not a big crew. The characters would be too filtered out and it might ruin our connection to them. I think Oda knows this, or else a few others might have joined already, I guess.

He said he wants atleast 10 subordinates so it could go over 10. I don't think they'll be more than 10-15, but he'll need to have a lot of allies to become the PK

I think there's only 2 more SH's left. And that the rest will just ally with him and we'll see them all at the "Promised War".

Then all the allies the Straw hats make, will like be commanded under each of these members. That's what i think so yeah. But these people would not always be with Luffy and his crew. Only in the time of war or something.
