::Warning this is pretty much all opinion::

Now I have a feeling that most of NB is more willing to buy into Madara just being conventionally beaten by the Shinobi Alliance in combat and that will be the way to resolve the Ninja War.

However, I would like to propose an alternative resolution to the War. Based on current events ( Naruto having his bijuu removed and Sasuke getting stabbed ) it seems Kishi is willing to push the War to the brink of disaster to up the stakes. I think if he is bold enough he can push the envelope and actually have Madara complete his plan and cast his infinite genjutsu. Basically what is supposed to be the end of the world will happen.

While under the effects of the infinite genjutsu Madara will be able to unite every shinobi in a dream world not governed by the rules of the real world. Now from here on it is pretty much all my own personal speculation about how I imagine this dream world playing out, so bear with me.

I think that an important aspect of the dream world will be that everyone will be able to perfectly understand one another. Basically the boundaries between consciousnesses will become more fluid, so that each person can basically see into another person's heart and truly understand them in a way which is impossible in the real world. The reason that this aspect of the dream world is important is because it will allow Madara ( who presumably still controls whether or not to continue the jutsu ) to see into the heart of Naruto. I think that if Madara looks into Naruto's heart and truly understands him in this dream world, then he will come to realize that the real world isn't really just suffering and despair and that good things and real bonds with others can come out of the apparent suffering. In this way Madara can be redeemed and reclaim his faith in the real world by seeing how a person like Naruto can transcend the world's suffering and limitations and create something real. After having this realization, the dream world will be canceled by Madara and he might possibly use his Rinne Tensei to revive everyone who died in the world ( and it might even be possible that with his godlike powers he could revive everyone who ever died from the injustice of the Shinobi world)

Now this is making a lot of assumptions that don't necessarily have manga proof. First thing I feel I am assuming is that Madara has any amount of good intentions. It could be that he was just talking about saving the world to manipulate Obito, and that he really is deranged and completely abandoned his ideals of his youth that Hashi told to Sasuke.

Another assumption which is very obviously an assumption is how I think the dream world will play out. I think that the ability to perfectly understand on another will be an important aspect of the dream world based on a lot of what Obito and Nagato have said about being able to understand other people. I don't think I remember Madara talking in this way, but considering how Obito and Nagato have been influenced by Madara this could be considered proof that it is a natural outgrowth of Madara's philosophy.

Why would this type of resolution be necessary?
Why not just have the shinobi alliance defeat Madara in an all out battle?

1- Madara is incomprehensibly strong. Madara holds all the cards. Kishi writing in a way for the shinobi alliance to defeat Madara conventionally with their own power would seem like completely contrived at this point.... BUT it still is possible but I would be disappointed if just random powerups defeated what essentially is Madara as a god (Rikudo powers = godhood IMO)

2- The best moments in Naruto didn't come about from Naruto completely wrecking his opponents with Kurama's powers. The showdown vs Zabuza he was able to help Zabuza even though he was their enemy. He was able to make Gaara reclaim his humanity. He didn't defeat Nagato by killing him, but by choosing the hard choice of forsaking revenge. The thesis of the manga has been what Kakashi told Granny Chiyo waay back when they were trying to rescue Gaara. Naruto's real power isn't the power of a jinchuuriki, but his power to inspire people to believe. If Madara is taken down just off power alone I feel like it is forsaking the message of the manga and would be a very odd climax since it gets so off message.

3- Don't you kind of want to see the dream world for at least a little bit? There are so many questions about how it would even work that I would at least like to see how Kishi would try to portray it and how it would differ from the real world.

Based off this rambling musing on how this War Arc might end, are you convinced? Will Kishi write in random powerups and all this disaster will be contrived suspense? Do you buy that Kishi would allow the dream world to be initiated? Or does Kishi have some sort of plan in mind for something other than the two options I've suggested as how it plays out?

How interesting. I want to see the infinite tsukuyomi myself .The good guys should break out sometime later though. I understand what you mean about madara understanding what is in naruto's heart. This goes well with the message of the manga. However we must also understand that manga is also a manga about ninjas which means combat is an important aspect of it. So for me Obito already understood naruto's way and supported it. I feel that madara doing the same is kind of a repeat of what happened to obito. Madara in my opinion should be defeated in combat flat out before being converted similar to how neji was beaten by naruto first before being converted. This will not only make an epic battle but will follow the rule of the later generation surpassing the previous generation

I think it's a good idea & honestly I was never against the idea of having madara win, it seems inevitable at this point but I'm open to anything that doesn't end horribly. This would have potential & it does make sense.

I actually have, but they left themselves a ton of room to deviate from that when it happens because in that Obito casts and "imperfect" infinite genjutsu.

Road to Ninja made it seem like people were the way you wanted them to be, while others were just random...

I really hope Kishi would do a better job with that universe...

I think Road To Ninja was Kishimoto's way of showing what Mūgen Tsukuyomi will look like because he doesn't plan to show it in the Manga, Mūgen Tsukuyomi is basically game over ala Exodia when it's cast.

But plot necessitates the Shinjū's Lotus to bloom, it would be very anticlimactic that it was introduced and not let it bloom, what actually truly is inside it is where the twist might happen that will even surprise Madara.

Wow actually I have found manga proof of Madara talking about how it is impossible to truly understand one another!

Doesn't prove that the infinite genjutsu will happen, but I mean I feel a bit more justified in my explanation of what I think it would look like! =D
