Alot of people have been asking 'what will make Sasuke fight Naruto?'. So, I decided to make a thread about it.
Lets suppose, worst case scenario: Itachi talks with Sasuke, and he changes his mind.
Do you guys remember everything about Tobi? Do you remember how he went throught the process of winning Sasuke over?
Here:
First things first, feels like a glaring contradiction, right?
- Tobi states that win Sasuke over was the most important thing.
- Tobi says that its useless to give power to Sasuke if they cant control him.
- Tobi decides to start the eye of the moon plan.
- Tobi goes to tell Naruto that he and Sasuke will fight someday, or that he will rather make them fight.
- Tobi goes to watch Sasuke's fight against Danzou and is extremelly pleased with Sasuke getting hid of his last companion, Karin.
- After this, Sasuke asks Tobi for Itachi's eyes, and Tobi's reaction is at least suspicious.
- Then, we have Kabuto asking for Sasuke, and Tobi agrees under one condiction: Only after the war.
- Then we have Tobi himself trying to capture Naruto, and everybody asks "wait, wasnt Sasuke supposed to be the one to fight Naruto instead?"
- we start to consider that Tobi decided to just do it himself, but then, out of nowhere, "Naruto is supposed to be a pawn to stimulate Sasuke".
What Tobi? Weren't you trying to capture Naruto by yourself? Didn't you give up on making them fight? Wont you hand over Sasuke to Kabuto after the war?
The answer is, everything, everything is pointing in the same direction: Tobi planned to throw Sasuke against Naruto before the war ended, he planned Sasuke vs Naruto before the eye of the moon plan was completed, which means that it would happen in the night of the current day in the manga.
Now, considering everything that Tobi has been plotting, Sasuke vs Naruto seems to be part of the Eye of the moon plan itself, in some way.
Now we go back to the "what if Itachi changed Sasuke's mind?"
By the way that Kishi has put the facts, I have the impression that it won't mather. Not because of Sasuke himself, but what is already inside of him. Tobi has taken his time watching Sasuke, taunting him, he isn't doing it for nothing, it's like he needed to go throught a process with Sasuke to achieve something.
Tobi told Naruto: "If you want to control people's hearts, you have to use the darkness within them."
What if he actually meant it, in a way that goes beyond what we think?
This came to my mind:
Pay close attention to dark naruto's words:
"Yeah..im the hatred you hold dear, im your darkness! If i have made one mistake, it's letting myself recklessly catch the eye of that kyuubi guy."
Now, the frog's explanation:
"The Kyuubi's will is a mass of hatred...no mather how hard ya try to fight it, it'll join with the hatred that's hidin in some corner of yer heart and hijack it"
Now, consider Sasuke's situation. Sasuke has built hatred in his heart for years, he has come to the point where his body even reacts to it, its his Uchiha will. Kishi just showed us that Naruto's hatred was what made him vulnerable to kyuubi's will. What are the chances of Kishi bringing this up in the future, but this time with Sasuke?
If this is the case, Itachi and Sasuke meeting would make so much sense. We would need to have Sasuke having a change of heart because of Itachi, and even changing his goal, only for when the time comes, Tobi finally make a ground breaking tide turn that will set the stage for Sasuke vs Naruto.
Naruto's goal would not be defeat and convince Sasuke, but save Sasuke from his own darkness. Whatever it is, Naruto is already aware of what will happen, he has already said:
"that's not the point...you can't beat sasuke just by being strong...now i know" *inside him is...*
Naruto seems to be aware of something about Sasuke that we arent.
This, and the fact that the frog said that he would fight a young man with great power in his eyes, and even the question that it made when Naruto said that he knew: "You know who and what he is?"
Naruto answered yes, and said that he was prepared for everything that will happen.
This totally points that Sasuke vs Naruto will be happening soon, and it will happen in an unexpected way. We are kind of getting distracted, but I think that Kishi will surprise us.
