in real life once a criminal,in the eyes of people will still be a criminal no matter how much he changed and did,and won't be trusted again.

Who knew the truth? So it will be the same with him trying to explain itachi and him but he has 3 tomoe to show them why.
He told them not to interfere he didn't have any buissness with them.
They are samurai and he didn't kill any on purpose, he only killed the dude he amaterasu...wait nvm he kank took the suit off.
Danzo was to be killed anyways, they didn't really know anything about him.
He didn't join akatsuki he was using them to get answers. He even tried to kill Obito.

He only killed Danzo, Orochi, Itachi. Which were criminals, and he wanted to kill the elders for their wrong, that's actually illegal.

danzo was a village elder
someone extremely relevant to the village
no one knows about his involvement and evil underground actions so to everyone else he has a clean slate and just a village elder to the villagers
he also killed an army of soldiers soo...
not everything he did was murder either he joined the akatsuki and even if he says he was just using them his purpose for using them was worse
he was planning to get power from them and destroy the hidden leaf and as an akatsuki he illegally entered a village and attacked innocent shinobi
not to mention that shinobi was the raikages brother
sasuke has done way to much for him to think his actions can simply be appeased and that he can move to the highest authority figure in the village
