I figured this out a long time ago. It should be obvious by now that Kishi puts pairing moments into this manga just to **** with the fanbase a couple chapter later. He has been doing this for literally years now. Yamato implies Sakura is falling for Naruto and then 5 chapters later she's looking at Sasuke like a god. Sakura hits on Naruto at the ramen bar, 10 chapters later she was confessing her love for Sasuke again. Hinata gets godstomped by Pain, Kishi completely ignores any follow up to it and has Naruto profess his love for Sakura again immediately after the fight. Sakura fake confesses to Naruto and then almost gets murdered by Sasuke multiple times after attempting to kill him. Naruto and Hinata hold hands and bond and then Naruto and Sakura are indirectly declared boyfriend and girlfriend.
Kishi does this shit for lulz and it would be best if all you pairing fans not invest your misguided feelings onto them. I would have thought my fellow weaboos and nigras had learned this shit by now.
