For some reason i feel like LEE fits the bill when it comes to that theme. and in the manga kid hashi look alot like him....i personally think that this manga could have reversed lee and narutos roles and it would still have been a cool story. i also feel like kishi probably had a larger role for Lee in this manga but somewhere along the line abandoned it.

I don't know about switching Naruto and Lee's roles in the story, but Lee definitely does. A lot of characters have the will of fire in their own way.
