Will Naruto ever be promoted past genin

We all know that Naruto has the skills of a jonin; although the mental capacity to be one is questionable. But will he ever be promoted to reach this potential or will he just be left a genin for the remander of the series/ until he becomes hokage.

I do not think he will ever be Hokage, or should not be. He is not smart enough and he cannot sit in one place for a long time.

Also, i think the era of Kage's is going to end after the war because all nations are going to join together. Remember what Oonoki said a few chapters ago.

a fair point but the series is based around Naruto becoming hokage so even if hes not thr right person he will probably get it

And I just wanted to let you know that saying Naruto having skills as a Jounin is dumb he has the skills of Mid-High Kage >_> And he will be promoted to Hokage

Remember, the original reason why Naruto wanted to be hokage was to become acknowledge by everyone in the village.

he accomplished this without being Hokage.

Then, Naruto's reason to become hokage changed from being acknowledged to protecting the village.

He is doing this without being hokage.

If anyone is to be hokage, i think it should be shikamaru. Now wouldnt that make a big twist

Naruto does not need to be hokage to be a hero or to be important. Maybe Naruto will realize that and choose not to be hokage. Wouldnt that be a nice ending.
