Will Naruto be promoted to Chunin or Jounin or will he have to go through exams

Not that it matters what ninja rank he is, considering he is Hokage level strength-wise. But out of curiosity, you think Village officials will promote him post war? I mean, the war was the Chunin exams X100. Naruto was the frontliner of the war, and has displayed every trait from desicion making skills to survivability in the war. If anything it would be shocking for them to make him go through the process of exams..then again, Naruto has always said there is no shortcuts to becoming Hokage. He may volunteer out of all fairness, but he wouldn't be a fair match to everyone else.

He is above Kage level strength wise, he's like a demi god. Anyway I think it would be dumb for him or Sasuke to take the Chunin exams at their levels. Hell, both of them should have made Chunin the first time they took the exams.

Yeah, but there will be some rank in the Leaf Village he will abide by, and considering he was the reason why War was not lost. He is a admired Leaf Village shonobi and protector, doubt he will be genin for long.

It reminds me of that OVA I saw once, when Naruto retook the Chunin exams, and ended up facing Konohamaru in the final round, and got disqualified for using Sage Mode.

The Chunin exam doesn't just test your strength but your mind as well, that's why Naruto, Neji, and Sasuke weren't made Chunins in part 1, they didn't have a Chunin mentality where as Shikamaru did. If Naruto was to take the Chunin exam again he would stay in base as they would most likely ban any modes or S rank jutsus. Naruto's base is Jounin level and he has the mind to be a Jounin but if the others all had to take the exam then why not him? Neji was Chunin level in part 1 so he was even stronger when he took it again.

Someone mentioned Gaara, we don't know when Gaara was moved up but he wasn't made straight to Kage, he said himself he would work hard to earn everyone's trust and form bonds. So he was either promoted to Chunin around the same time Shikamaru was or shortly after. People hated a Gaara so they wouldn't want him as their leader, he had to earn their trust as he moved up the levels. A ninja was saying Naruto should be Hokage after he defeated Pein but he was never offered to be boosted up even when he was the village hero so don't see them changing his rank for being a hero when they didn't do it prior.
