123 gave us spoilers of someone translating that Shinki beats Mitsuki. And next Thursday episode Shinki fughts Mitsuki. This episode Shinki told Mitsuki not to hold back SM or he'll be sorry. So Shinki > SM Mitsuki.

We have to hold off on that Shinki> SM Mitsuki. Shinki's dialog could simply foreshadows Mitsuki not using it. The anime team is threading on a thin line here , but all in all im pretty sure Mitsuki wont go all out. Not a chance imo. We can stick a bet on it tho

current kages is indeed fodder with an exemption to Naruto which got stark differences (sky-earth) between them. There is no subtance to indicates that any of the current generation kages would a par a sage mode user.

You're right it's a waste. The problem is if Mitsuki whips out SM and goes all out then how can they justify him standing on the sidelines as a cheerleader in the future.

its a test though to see how skilled they are not how overpowered they are, being a chunnin is about the choices you make and your brains not an all out power brawl as cool as those are there probably set for later in the series. i dont think they will make him use sage mode or if they do shinki will have some sort of counter im sure garra would have thought about that ahead of time since he knows naruto has it and it wouldnt be out of the realm of possibility for the son to inherit it.

Mtsuki barely showed sage mode. In fact he specifically refrained from using it. Do you really think Shinki refers to the activation of sage mode, rather than mitsuki holding himself back by not using it?

Shinki is fodder but with swag, there are many examples before him destined to be fodder or easily defeated eg. Gaara < Deidara, Naruto, Sasori 3rd Kazekage < Sakura, Chiyo Baa , and Gaara Dad < Orochimaru. There is not much to see on him, after all, he is not even worth in Otsutsuki or Orochimaru radar. I got this feeling that he will defeated by Boruto and will be tamed by him also he will be further humiliated by Mitsuki post chunnin exam at anytime possible.
