maybe it's kaguya's punishment, she is cursed to be used as a means to get back the chakra she stole.

it kind of reminds me of, leviathan and dartz, dartz was a royal figure who wanted peace,

after seeing a world full of evil.

the chakra fruit could be seen as the Orichalcos Stone, since both the fruit and the stone gave people, advanced knowledge and power

but it turned people evil and corrupted.

the human souls could be seen as bijuus, since they were needed to revive the leviathan

and after each soul, the leviathan became more sentient,

Madara loved his brothers even more than itachi, and with sasuke looking like izuna and hahirama saying he can stop madara without fight, it seems that kaguya will come out once again when madara shows some weakness
