Will GTX 650ti run on my 210wt PSU?

now first able my computer specs are
amd athlon x4 625 2.9ghz i can overclock if i want
120gb hard drive 7200rpm
6gb ram ddr3
and RADEON XFX HD 4850 1GB VIDEO CARD

my power supply is 210watt only but i have absolutely no problems running that card on it even though!
Both cards have the same power consumption.

my question is can my computer handle gtx650 ti on it considering i have amd athlon x4 2.9ghz cpu?
and is the source where i got my information realiable to assume that gtx 650 ti uses the same amount of power consumtion than radeon hd4850, also does having speakers, controllers and keyboard affect the watts that my computer needs to keep it self powered or not? please help

Mother of God... You need to seriously upgrade to at least a 750w. You're bottlenecking your computer with a power supply that low.

I ran an R7 250 on a 280 psu and had no trouble tbh. since the thermal power consumption of the card is like 95.

I don't know how you're running a 4850 on that PSU, the athlon's are already heavily outdated, look for an AMD FX-6300 at least. They are very cheap nowadays.

It won't work, the 650 ti has a TDP pf 110 watts alone, accounting other things like the processor, hard drives, dvd rom, your computer might shut down, crash, stutter, or worse burn the PSU, if it's low quality it might even burn out other components. But that's very rare.

And no, You can probably play it at 720p with the the GTX 650ti, you're gonna have trouble at 1080p. And The GTX 650 ti does not have SLI support either. So there you have it. You should upgrade your whole build, I can help you if you want.

your missing the point, im not looking to buy a new pc, i just want to upgrade a video card, my motherboard doesnt suppost FX cpu's since its outdated but it my video card sucks because its old, outdated, consumes alot of energy and produces way less performance compared to newer cards.

your missing the point, im not looking to buy a new pc, i just want to upgrade a video card, my motherboard doesnt suppost FX cpu's since its outdated but it my video card sucks because its old, outdated, consumes alot of energy and produces way less performance compared to newer cards.

You asked wether you could run GTA 5 at your desired settings, I just stated its quite unlikely. And listed some apparent critics on how it's outdated, but however...

I know what you're trying to assert here, but i'm just making a suggestion that you should, if not, then maybe in a while since the fx mobo+processor are not that expensive nowadays.....just upgrade the PSU only then, it's not gonna cost you much. Look for at least 400 watts (high quality) if you can't get 500watts or higher. Mainstream brands are seasonic, antec, corsair, thermaltake etc.

And yeah, Older cards are more power hungry due to older architecture. It doesn't support direct X11 games so yeah it's a turn off, the 4850 requires 450 watt and 30 amps on the 12v rail, I'm surprised how it's even running on a 210 watt PSU. Go with the gtx 650ti then, if that card runs fine on your build then the 650ti should as well, it requires less power then the 4850.

But seriously, a 210 watt psu running 4850 is just....i dont even know.

i dont buy PSU's anymore because last time i bough a PSU on ebay it came broken right from the door, the sides were bend, it didnt even have all the wires i needed lol, so i just told the seller what happened and he refunded my money, never bought a PSU from internet again. so if i find one in good will, or value village, i buy it but not online.

You either got lucky, or they simply batch-made the same PSU rated for far higher wattage and just sold it with different labeling for different prices.

Your CPU chews up about half of that thing at full tilt, and graphics cards have been pulling double of what the CPU does for some time, now.

I have had good experiences with ThermalTake PSUs - although it's hard to find a 'bad' PSU through NewEgg. Most of them are pretty good, and the customer reviews give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

well i am lucky because my pc turns off automatically every time i try updating my video card driver and trying to access amd cataclysm. after that i had to restore my pc and play on default video card drivers that i got once i bought the card lol.
also im not going to need a 750w PSU for a gtx650ti thats overkill, i can power a gtx780 or titan with that

The only real way to buy electronics, these days, is online.

Stores simply can't stock the variety of products like online stores can, and they can't even come close to the prices. For low-volume sale items like PSUs, GPUs, and CPUs - most in-town stores have a 60-100% higher price than what you will find through online retailers like NewEgg and Tiger Direct.

I've built three computers from NewEgg over the past eight years. I've never had a problem with them - even when buying cases (and those are something that is a little nervous to purchase online).

I also built my first computer from Tiger Direct - and they were good, as well (although NewEgg tends to beat them out in terms of pricing and inventory variety, I've found).

Still - if you're nervous and there's a good computer parts store (I shy away from Best Buy, Staples, etc - they are okay for buying mice, keyboards, those sorts of things - but completely overpriced for just about anything else hardware and networking related) - you can often find decent PSU options in there. They'll even order stuff in for you with a slight mark-up on it (since they don't have to have it taking up shelf space - using them as middle-men is less expensive than trying to find someone who stocks it... but they are basically ordering from NewEgg or Tiger Direct if it's not in one of their warehouse networks).

8350 is an 8 core, therefore with the voltage it runs at, when it's at max power instead of idle it'll be using a little over 200 watts. A GTX 750 will probably be using about the same amount of power. Go with a 500w PSU and you won't go wrong.
