[Theory] Will Enton Even further?

Enton, the ability to not only manipulate the shape but also the nature of the black flames has shown outstanding growth since first being revealed. When first utilized it could only be used a coating for Sasuke's Susanoo ribcage and was teased at having cutting qualities like Sasuke's chidori blade, when he turned the black flames into spikes.

Now Sasuke after obtaining EMS can use enton in conjunction with all forms of Susanoo, create large Susanoo enton arrows, enton shuriken, and even enton swords which Sasuke himself can wield and fire off multiple enton blades.

But will Enton evolve further still?

There are two ways this can happen

Theories

DSM/CM: As shown with Kabuto's inorganic reincarnation, controlling elements with chakra is different from doing so with senjutsu. Using natural allows the user to seemingly breathe life into the elements and control them as if they were living things. In Sasuke's case this would result in living flames and seeing how it is using Senjutsu the flames would be a lot stronger. I know that a lot of you don't think that Sasuke will get DSM or his CM back, but at the very least its a possibility.

PS: This is my most favored route. Ever since Sasuke first debuted with his EMS Susanoo v3 Enton has been slated as the main offensive weapon of Sasuke's Susanoo. It has actually been a theory of mine that Susanoo are differentiated by a person's spirit and chakra nature
Itachi's Totsuka blade is a Sakegiri katana (maybe misspelled) seeing how this is a blade that acts like water, the reason that Itachi is able to wield this sword could actually be because of his affinity to water jutsu.
Madara's Susanoo swords that produce a slashing shockwave could have formed because of his wind affinity, and since Madara infused his gunbai with some of his Susanoo chakra the reason behind his "Return of the fan technique" that blew back Naruto's Chou Mini Bijuudama could also be a byproduct of his level of Susanoo.
Therefore, it stands to reason that Susano'os are elemental and if Madara's is any indication this could mean that when Sasuke reaches PS his proficiency with Enton will increase as well.

Possibilities

There are a few basic ways that Enton can increase in power. Strength, Substance, and Mobility
Power
It goes without saying that Enton burns too slowly. In all honesty I don't think Kishimoto will increase the strength very much. It would be too OP. Flames that you can not extinguish that reduce anything they touch in a matter of seconds is really too much. Especially since these flames spawn from simple eye contact.
Substance
When I say substance I mean this.

Increasing the flames defensive power would be a nice move. Having a technique called Enton: Kagetsuchi Shield and having it act like the fire wall jutsu would be really epic and would substantially increase Sasuke's defensive power.

Mobility
Sasuke is fine in this area when it comes to personal use, but when it comes to his susanoo it would be nice to have his final form of Susanoo have multiple Enton orbs revolving around his Susanoo similar to Enel's drums or Obito's ring of Bijuudama. This way Enton is readily available whether for defense or offense and multiple large scale enton attacks can be utilized instead of just using it in one hand.

Nice, these are definitely some plausible possibilities. I think Enton will evolve mainly in the way Sasuke uses the flames. The barrier around the Mazou is a good example of this, Sasuke manipulating the flames into something so solid seems within his abilities. I also think his Enton can be improved to where he can use it like other Katon jutsus like maybe a fireball type jutsu. Sasuke seems to mainly use Enton in the form of weapons like a sword, an arrow or a shield. It's possible that Sasuke will further expand in that area as well.

Nice theory, but I'd like to comment on a few things.

First, Kishimoto has expanded the role of Enton. Its evolved from just the ability to manipulate the flames since Sasuke has been seen on two occasions creating Amaterasu flames with his "Enton eye". The created flames can't spawn on targets, but instead seem to form where Sasuke channels his chakra, in a manner akin to chidori. It seems that he no longer needs to use Amaterasu to create the flames before hand. Read

Secondly, I disagree you on the DSM/CM theory, I don't think Sasuke will get either of those tbh. I think Enton will stay mostly Susanoo based (aside from things like

Another thing I want to note is that Madara's Perfect Susanoo shockwaves were generated because of the shear power of the Susanoo itself, not because of the swords in and of themselves. I don't think think there's anything inherently special about the swords themselves considering the unimpressive feats that were shown at lower Susanoo levels. Since Sasuke's Enton blades are condensed Amaterasu, they behave as pseudo-solids and I'm confident that at the Perfect Susanoo level, Sasuke would also be able to produce similar shockwaves with them.

I also don't agree with your thinking on Itachi's Totsuka Blade. I honestly think that weapon was something he found and didn't come with his Susanoo.

Overall I like the way you're thinking and I'm expecting more impressive Enton feats in later chapters.

"Enton" is just shape transformation. It's no different, from the way Naruto creates a rasengan. Sasuke has used shape transformation countless of times with various versions of Chidori as well.

If it is to become stronger, Amaterasu needs to become stronger. That is unlikely.
What is special about Enton, is that Sasuke does it with his eyes, and not his hands. It could be possible to expand this technique to other forms of chakra. That would not have anything to do with EMS though, but would simply be Sasuke developing a new technique.
