Will Boruto Surpass Naruto?

We don't know what those tattoos do. They seem to contain Chakra similar to a Cursed Seal. Depending on how much Chakra it contains, Boruto could have a lot more raw power than we give him credit for. He's also learning from Sasuke, has more natural talent/intellect than Naruto, and has a Btakugan. He could become pretty formidable.

We'll just have to see... but Shounen Manga generally increase the power scaling as they go, and the Boruto mana started with Momoshiki... so the power levels will likely surpass the original series.

I dunno. It's evident that the next generation surpasses the previous one, but that doesn't always mean power. I mean Boruto is definitely going to be one of the strongest of his generation, that's a given. Kawaki too, probably.

But to think that they would have enough power to surpass a transmigrate with EMS/Rinnegan, and one with the Full Kyuubi/8 Other tailed beasts? That's a bit unrealistic.

The tattoo/crest argument hasn't gone into full effect because for all we know they could just be at MS/SM Level. Saying Pain level is a stretch... but who knows. Kawaki did destroy the Leaf Vilalge by himself (probably) and Naruto is hinted at being placed somewhere.

All I know for sure is that the base will probably talk mad shit about any of the characters surpassing their favs.

I don't see how he could surpass a transmigrant. He'll probably be top five of his generation but it would take a major asspull to surpass Naruto or Sasuke. I wish they woulda placed this series farther in the future and followed the next transmigrant story like maybe Naruto and assumes grandchildren. Time will tell I just hope they dont pull a GT

I mean as stupid as it sounds, it's hard to not expect the newer characters to become strong or stronger than the current characters. I mean Ukyo said it a few times that this was 'his' story, and not his father's. He made it pretty clear. So there may be an instance where Boruto does certain things Naruto couldn't do, because he's the 'main' character now.

Kishimoto wrote out in Mitsuki's one shot that Mitsuki will have the power to surpass Orochimaru. So we can already see where at least Mitsuki will be towards his prime.

Kishimoto wrote out in the Boruto Movie that Boruto can surpass Naruto.

So it's just up to the writers and how they flesh it out. I mean logically neither Naruto or Sasuke surpassed Hashirama or Madara until after receiving their Rikudou powers, so I don't expect it to be different for Boruto and Kawaki (I guess?).

Sarada is the only one with the potiential to pass her predecessors naturally. Burrito has nothing going for him other whats probably gonna be an asspull with those cringey tattoos.

Only thing that made his father special was him being the Jin of the strongest Bjuu, Boruto has none of that. However what made Sasuke special was his Sharingan whoch Sarada inherited. Do the math. Sarada still slays.

Those tattoos are most likely a curse seal for six path senjutsu but even then they will be fodder compared to RSM just like Sasuke's CS was fodder compared to Sage Mode.
