Simply because a pair of Sharingans or previous awakening (Madara case when he was without eyes) is needed for the Susanoo to be used. Lets not forget that the Susanoo is the last secret of the Sharingan (Amaterasu is the first).

How can a guy with a Byakugan (Which Boruto doesn't have) awaken a Susanoo or the equivalent (that not even Toneri with the legendary Tenseigan was able to awake) to the Byakugan?

What is your justification for this?

First off I was saying equivalent in. Potential power scaling again the byakugan got the tenseugan power up.

And we see urashiki might if used a new byakugan ability with his ability to know intimate details.

All im saying is the byakugan will get upgraded from what we know.

In at least some cases yes the byakugan would have to sprout some kind of special chakara from the brain to the eyes, or at least have some such mechanic behind it.

If not, then how would you explain Himawari awakening the byakugan in response to emotion and going from normal blue eyes to byakugan eyes (in a manner very similar to how Uchihas awaken the sharingan)?
