After reading the posts before mine i definitely have to agree, Gaara had it the worst.

Sasuke. Man, that kid had it rough. Walking in on all your kin murdered and left like sheep on the streets, then your parents lying in their own blood...This would drive a grown man insane, and he was only 8 then. Infinitely cruel. Nagato went through a similar phase, as he lost his family to war and then the peace clan he created with Yahiko was reduced to nothing because of Konoha's political ambitions.

Then I would say Gaara and Haku. Their own father's tried to kill them.

Minato had to sacrifice himself and his wife as soon as their child was born and condemn Naruto to a rough life alone...but probably still Gaara then Itachi

Sasuke easily. Do you know how many times he watched his clan get killed? Then Sasuke gets burdened even more by then knowing the truth and all he ever known was a lie. Then Sasuke battled Danzo, the cause of his suffering. Kakashi does not come close because he only saw it once and now he is facing his suffering.

His life is not nearly as bad as Sasuke's. Naruto never new he had a family and was hated because of the fox in him. While that was bad, by the time he reached 12 he made friends and then by 16 he is loved by the village and got to meet his parents again.

Sasuke only met his parents again to watch them get killed again. xd
