Wich Akatsuki Members Can Beat Jiraya?

Jiraiya didn't really put up a fight against Pain. No one on this thread underestimated Jiraiya to my knowledge. If you have a problem with someone who you think is underestimating him than quote the post and counter. Most of what you said is talking about Nagato who we all know can destroy Jiraiya very easily. Just because he put up a fight does not mean he is comparable to Nagato. Hinata also put up a fight does that mean she is equal to Deva Path?

Because 1. hinata didn't put up 1/3 of a fight, and she only fought one.

Jiriaya fought all 6 path, and took out one, and would have beaten him if he knew pein secrets. Maybe not Nagato 1v1 prime, but he deff would have defeated those paths with intel because that is a completely different jiriaya.

Anyone with brains would have told you Jiraya almost defeated pein with intel. ( maybe you should go back and read and watch the battle between them.


Funny thing is i don't even think you read the chapters at all because even pein stated this.

I admit he managed to hold his own against the first three paths of pain but once all six were summoned he got owned. It really doesn't matter if Pain said Jiraiya could beat him. First of all it was out of respect to his sensei. You don't just kill a worthy opponent who once believed in you and taught you everything and then say haha your so weak.

There is lots of hype for many different characters in the series. Zetsu said that Itachi is invincible. Is he really? Not even close.

The data book claims that whoever fights Sasuke would have no chance at beating him. This is clearly a false statement.

As for that Hinata VS Deva Path comparison, I made it because just because a character goes up against a more stronger character it doesn't mean they are equals. Your whole argument was based on equality and hype which doesn't do you much good in a VS thread. I also thought that Hinata VS Deva was as much of a stomp as all six paths of Pain VS Jiraiya was. In the end though even today there are a small handful that can defeat all six without knowledge.

I do think that Jiraiya can kill a lot of more powerful shinobi than him because during battles he can utilize his summons effectively and use geurrila and stealth tactics to wear down his enemies.

U_U I am a shame at all of you who responded underestimated Jiriaya.
Why? Because lets not forget he could have escape if he really wanted to but he told his sensai ma and pa "No" he wanted to find out the secret of pein. The fact that he gave pein a run for his money who i must say is the second strongest Akasuki memeber after tobi, just completely dismiss the others.
And yes i am going to say it, Kabuto was a noob when he try to control nagato because really no one can bring out a person full potential other than the person them self. Nagato>Itachi idc who wants to cry about it.

Itachi vs Jiriaya i won't speak about because Kishi already stated in his "own" manga not fan imaginations that if these two were to fight, they would both lose if not hurt each other severely.

( really doesn't matter what we learn of Itachi since then because we can only think that he had both the sword and mirror at that time) And honestly if Itachi vs Nagato 1v1, nagato would have came out on top, regardless of itachi new MS ability because i really don't see this working if nagato fights with path. ( seeing how he hides somewhere) but if this is prime nagato i think itachi would still lose.
