Can someone seriously answer why it is so hard to get any custom approved. I mean I get declining OP stuff but to decline something because it has a similarity is stupid to me. I mean the site has been around at the very least for 7 years and during that time people have been submitting customs techniques and weapons the entire time so having a similarity or two is possible especially considering how most of us have similar sources of influence for the submissions.

Ergo my question why don't the mods of that section be more forgiving if it is similar to a preexisting technique?

I get it if it is a blatant copy just reworded but to have to wait a month or more just to have to repost and get declined solely for this factor is f**king stupid.

It's perhaps done to prevent duplicate techniques from existing in the long run. If there are duplicate techniques using the same concept, then the concept won't be limited because of the teaching restrictions, it will become widespread. This will then take away the uniqueness of the concept of the technique.

Just assumptions, but the best answer can be provided by the RP staff.
