Didn't Madara and hashirama fight, and then Madara agreed to cooperate to build the village, then Madara betrayed hashi and started fighting again? What stops naruto and sasuke from doing the same? Part 3 confirmed?

By stopping and letting go. Sasuke admitted the defeat and he didn't do it because he had no other option or with an ulterior motive to buy time , wait and watch for the next attack like Madara. He saw his lost brother in Naruto. And Naruto believing in him that he won't betray them again and telling him that he was strong enough to take care of him and check him if he does.

Previous incarnations never had a closer.

That is also what i thought...history has just repeated again.

Madara started to believe in Hashirama so he cooperated/Same as Sasuke...then Madara was set off by some conversation he overheard from Tobirama.

what is to stop the same from happening with Sasuke? He even hinted that it was a possibility...(this makes me wonder how would Naruto deal with it if Sasuke sought the destruction of Konoha, would he give in and kill him this time? so far the Sasuke/Naruto rivalry has followed Hashirama and Madara's...currently it is at the stage were Hashirama spared Madara's life and Madara agreed to cooperate leading to Konoha being built)

and the Naruto in the final chapter didn't seem like Naruto at all...for a moment there i thought he was going to join Bolt's prank and spend some time with him...but no, why so serious? Why does the poster boy for loneliness have his very own child feeling the same as he did when he was young?

THIS.This is one of the things I did not like about the epilogue.I guess Kishi wanted to show us that Borito was a goofy kid like Naruto but the fact is that Naruto used to do those pranks because he wanted people to notice him.If Borito is doing the same it sends out the wrong message about Naruto's parenting skills.
