and maybe oro can't dispell izanami that easily? so he think take his chakra back and go with sasuke is probably the safer bet for now.

I'm near positive that Orochimaru will gain something from what he is trying to show Sasuke, he isn't interested in the war because it isn't his own project this time. I don't think he really cares what happens to Kabuto anymore, keeping him around was probably a failsafe for when he was attacked by Sasuke and sealed by Itachi, Kabuto and Anko served to carry on his life force for just such an occasion.

I think Orochimaru KNOWS that he has many things that people want, and I strongly suspect that he knew he would be revived (He was only surprised that it was Sasuke who acctually preformed the release.)
