Well, Nagato was sealed in Tosuka, I doubt that people are retrievable in there. As for Itachi; the moment he'd have set foot on the battle field it would have been over. Lol

dont say anything about Lord Tobirama .. he was the one who participated more than any one in this war .. he helped on stoping juubi from its attacks , on defeating Juubito .. gave Gaara and Naruto a chance to escape from Madara , tried to save sasuke ... he even tried to save sasuke by sending his soul ...


and kishi doesn't want to ruin Itachi's story by making him fight with Godlike levels like Madara , Juubito , Rikudou Madara , Kaguya .. that would have been a dangerous bet .

Firstly, the hokages weren't initially resurrected to fight in the in the war, it’s just because Sasuke wanted to ask *the ones who knew everything* about the truth. It wasn't until Sasuke gave his answer that they all decided to go to the battlefield.
Secondly, like many already pointed it out, Nagato was sealed in the totsuka blade, and Oro most likely didn't have Itachi's DNA at that time.

It's pretty amazing how people think two people can somehow tilt the scale in a war against 2 harbingers of destruction and an ancient monster to be known as the embodiment of chakra. I'm positive Madara and Obito aren't going to flinch seeing Itachi or Nagato arrive.



Anyways, do you know how awkward it would be for Sasuke to re-edo his brother after this?

You cant edo tensei twice someone who is sealed by the blade of totsuga . Nagato is sealed for good. Its possible to edo tensei itachi but first they would need his dna.
