Why wasnt Naruto promoted to Chuunin?

Honestly all he did during the Chunnin exams was learn how to break out of basic genjutsu and a bigger blue ball.If he stayed at the leaf he'd probably learn more lol.

Um...he didnt passed the chunnin exams at part 1,although he re-entered again(we see it in the blood prison movie extra) only to pass 'till the end and fight with konohamaru....who he lost from because he entered sage-mode to mock him which led in disqualification

Because to be promoted to chuunin you need to pass the chuunin exams Naruto was away with Jiraiya for 3 years so he didn't get a chance to compete in the exams
