Why was the Leaf Village so ill-equipped to train a Jinchuuriki?

You look at Bee (8 Tails) and Yugito (2 Tails) both had full control of their tailed beasts. Presumably they both trained at the Tailed Beast Temple on Turtle Island.

Yagura (3 Tails) had full control of his beast as well.

The sand village seemed adept at controlling Shukaku from host to host. Although Gaara was deemed a failure, the sand village and the 4th Kazekage were able to subdue his rampages. After Gaara faced Naruto, those murderous outbusts apparently died down.

Then we come to Naruto and the Leaf Village. The Leaf Village has had ninja with Mokuton, Chakra chains, and Sharingan through certain parts of it's history. All have been used to subdue tailed beast before, and yet no one in the Leaf Villages has any idea on how to instruct Naruto on how to bring the Nine Tails to heel. One would think the Leaf would have some resources they could use to mentor Naruto on controlling his biju. It just seems they left their greatest resource of potential to twist in the wind.

Probably because the Nine-Tails was so strong. A lot stronger than the other beasts, and therefor,harder to subdue.

Well they only saw naruto as a monster who brought death, and destruction. Some of the others were treated at weapons.

Yes it is a plot hole. Think the have wood style of first hokage which is super effective against 9 tails . Leaf got what no other got .1st hokage must have to build a place where 9 tail jin... Trained to control beast. Or must give some sort of seal to control 9 tails.

they got trouble with hachibi too untill bee show up.same goes for others and nine tail is most power full among them.onlu uchiha and senju could control kyuubi and thats y they team up naruto with sasuke.there was no uchiha or capable senju any more at that time.they really have control over kyuubi when madara have him and they didnt give the kyuubi to naruto its smthing that 4th hv to do when it come to defend the village.

Both Danzo and Kakashi possess a sharingan. Each of them were capable of casting genjutsu with their sharingan. Dazno is known for recruiting those with talent or special abilities. Naruto was an untapped resource that he merely ignored. Kakashi likewise never employed his sharingan to control the nine tails. He relied on those seass Jiraya gave him and Yamato's mokuton.

It does seem like a plot hole when you think about it though.

The people of the leaf were Idiots. They seriously though Naruto was the Nine Tails Incarnate at the start of the series.

Or maybe the Ninetails did not want to be friends with its host being that he never wanted to be sealed in the first place. Apparently a lot of you have forgotten tailed beast have their own personality wants and desire. Sealing them inside of a person doesn't make them friends or even partners. Unlike the other tailed beast 2, 3, 8, he doesn't wave his tails so easily

Well the nine tails destroyed so much of the village and killed countless lives...so it's understandable that all the villagers fear it. So i'm assuming they were afraid of kurama. Also the nine tails is way stronger than the other tailed beasts so it is definitely harder to control.
