Why was Sasuke hidden in most of the OPs?

Was watching over the old openings and I just noticed this. Like in number 6, it was implied that he was fighting Naruto but was never even shown, then in ones like OP 7 & 8 he was never even shown. There were a lot more examples of this too. Funny but weird honestly considering he was the main force behind the plot in part 1.
