Why was Sasuke forgiven so easily?

Yet, they can just take him back without a second thought; except Shikamaru? That's why Shikamaru is the only one with the brains to be Hokage.

Ya he is an ass and he is going to pay for it later, but now that he just saved the whole ninja worlds ass he has quite a bit of leeway. Kind of like when someone from the military who has done something great for their contry (like save a lot of lives with their bravery or something) end up doing something bad they will go much easier on them due to their service in the military.

I hope he has a price to pay and no one likes him and he has to work his ass off to actually come back after the war is over. But for now, he just saved the allied ninja's force. So they aren't to angry with him any more, for the time being.

No, because he's the main antagonists in this war, Sasuke isn't. It's been well explained that Madara is alongside Obito and the Juubi and the reason for this war. You can't exaggerate something in order to try to be right.

They're in the midst of a war. No one ever said anything that implied him to be forgiven. In a situation like that, if someone steps in to fight by your side, you have no second thoughts to let that person join and fight. All matters will be dealt with afterwards. They're all still shock that Sasuke's there and they all know that he's dangerous and what he's capable of, but he's not the BIG problem right now for the spot light to stay on him.

So worry not! Sasuke Uchiha will come next after all the madness.

As far as I know, Karin is the only one who fully forgave him.
