Why was Naruto sent on missions?

No one knew that he was the jinchuriki apart from a selected few. So, sending him to missions was further hiding the fact that he was 'special'. If he would have been kept in hiding, many would have noticed that.

well the 3rd and 5th dont treat naruto as a simple weapon which the cloud did also how boring would naruto be if all he did was stay in the village

He is the main character it will be boring for a main character to not take part in a play that's staring him the most

It's tsunade's fault, she sent naruto to fought akatsuki that are searching for him. Talking of suicide.
