Why was naruto gaiden hated?

Guys can you tell me the reasons this arc was hated?

Alot of people complain about it . To me it was soo decent .

Because it was bland, inconsistent, unnecessary fest of poor characterization and forced relationship drama.

1. Lots of fanbase wars
2. Shin was fodder and got defeated quickly
3. The plot was mediocre
4. The final fight was bad
5. The Akatsuki was mentioned only once and never again
6. Shin is a scientific dude who wants humans to evolve but none of that really has an impact on the story. All he ever does is control blades and get crushed in one fell swoop.
7. Kishi missed the chance to hit us with some crazy sci-fi type plot
8. Sarada inherited her mothers fighting style

Yeah but what kind of God Shinobi has to use his own body to defend his daughter from that attack? That's just weak yo! And if it wasn't for Sakura, Sasuke would be DEAD. You'd imagine he would use Susanoo or just plainly pick her up.

Sakura got hated again for three quarters of the series(breaking her house down just by being angry, not telling Sarada the truth). Sasuke being away and a potential deadbeat dad. Movie villains were more intimidating than a fat, giant onion looking clones. People(a lot) wanting Karin to be the mum and Naruto for being rusty. Oh and maybe Chocho for trying to be funny....:|:|

2. The arc wouldn't have happened if anybody had shown Sarada a picture of her with her parents
3. Sakura literally pasted a picture of her face over Karin's in a group photo. Pathetic

Mainly the sh t villain, I was interested until literally the moment he pulled the akatsuki hood off. Plus it seemed the whole gaiden was made just to show that saradas parents are connected because of her? Cool thanks for the obvious

Because people expected/treated it like a standalone story arc, which it never was. It was the lead up to Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

Shit villian with a really weak and crappy MS power
Naruto & sasuke not one shotting this weakling villain
Such Weak villain daring to speak itachi's name.
Naruto not being able to dodge sasuke's sword
Sasuke's sword actually damaging through a Bijuu cloak and Sage mode
Sasuke not being able to save sarada and dodge Shins blades at the same time
Naruto & Sasuke's nerfed feats/power in order to make this weak villian seem a threat.


If shin was a villain during early part 2 he might have worked but in naruto gaiden he wasn't anything special at all.

1.Red-Herring-We all thought Shin was related to Itachi,Karin being Sarada's mother,is Oro a men or lady?
2.Shin's hype-At the beginning we all were entertained and then a big retarded papa with 20 eyes appeared and ruined Small Shins character (they all were fodders and got reckt by a Shannaro punch omg).
Chapter 6 and 7 were too much to handle.

Horrible villain...i rate it 1/10
