It could have been either Senju stealing the eyes of Uchiha, Uchiha-Senju hybrids, or Uchiha who somehow got Senju DNA and would constantly steal the eyes of their clansmen for some sense of "invincibility" with Izanagi. I guess, somewhere along the line an Uchiha developed Izanami to help prevent people from doing this and discourage others from going to such forbidden jutsu for power.

I am not happy with how it was introduced and why it was specifically introduced in that scenario

It was a very situated and convoluted way to push kabuto out of the war.Extremely shoddy writing.

Its kishi's fault for rushing the manga and leaving little room for all 1394u3134 people that now have to share each chapter

A lot of people keep saying itachi >kabuto because of izanami when somehow forgetting that izanami was not meant for battle and was only useful because itachi was dead meaning he could place himself in danger to set up the genjustu in the first place.

Everyone said the uchiha brothers had it rough lol

Kabuto could not kill itachi and did not want to kill sasuke while at the same time sasuke could not attempt to kill kabuto

Who else in the manga fights two mangekyo users at the same time and not be able to kill them ?
