Why was Haku's speed praised so heavily?

Haku seemed to have his jutsu retconned... I mean, now it's a S/T ninjutsu. His EDO used it to teleport up behind Sai in a matter of seconds, that's impressive.

And it was early on in this series, it was pretty good for the first arc.

His Mirror Jutsu is similar to a Space Time Jutsu. With sufficient chakura reserves, he can be like Obito or Minato, near unpenetrable.

If that was the case Naruto and Sasuke shouldn't have been able to touch him.

With his mirror attack he could move at light speed to which ever mirror he wanted to as long as it was reflecting his image.

Than no one in Narutoverse should be able to see him let alone Novice Sharingan Sasuke.

I dont think so, all she need is to wear armor to block his needles and then smash his mirrors. Then give him a nice punching she wins.

its just the jonin lvl haku who was black ops for haku's age was suppose to be speedier than sasuke and naruto... not to mention that i think it was just mentioning haku's speed while using his mirror technique that is remarkable...

I feel it is most likely just a result of the time it was written in. In the world Kishi had created thus far, Haku's speed was a big deal (given his age, jutsu, etc.), but the plot has since outgrown it many times over, and thus looking back makes it seem so outlandish for it too have been hyped, given what we see now.

Idk why they said that about her. Maybe his Crystal Ice mirror makes it looks like she's fast?​

it isn't a s/t jutsu. He is just able to quickly move between mirrors. He was also slowing down in that fight and gave Sasuke time to figure out the pattern of his jutsu.

Even a Sasuke w/out Sharingan blitzed him, Haku was only all that quick in the mirror, which is where his speed hype came from I believe.

Haku's mirror technique was basically classified as a teleportation technique because he could move as fast as the speed of light between the mirrors.
