The coup contemplation and Uchiha Massacre occurred under Hiruzen's leadership, when the village wasn't Tobirama's responsibility anymore. And that was because the Kyuubi attack, in which Danzo, Homura and that old lady oppressed the Uchiha to a point that it was unreasonable, and the Uchiha were being discriminated against because they were widely believed to have been behind the attack. And the Kyuubi attack was under Minato's leadership, wasn't it?

They weren't sure, they were being cautious; they couldn't take any chances. How could Tobirama know that nobody else conspired with Madara?

That only added to the surveillance that was already on the Uchiha though. If the Uchiha wouldn't have already been oppressed by Tobirama don't you think the elders would have been more lenient?

Still though, Tobirama's oppression of the Uchiha was a huge part of the cause for the coup.

No, it was the Nine-Tails' Attack under Minato's leadership that lead to the segregation on the Uchiha under Hiruzen's leadership, which then lead to the coup.

What do you mean? Only a few ever noticed the true purpose of the Konoha Military Police Force; some Uchiha seemed to enjoy the power in fact (shown from Itachi flashbacks), and being in the Konoha Military Police Force was largely seen as a source of pride to the Uchiha.

Didn't you already post this thread and every hokage has their ups and downs. Tobiramas down being the fact he created a jutsu that has killed nearly over 100,000 shinobi, endangered the village he cared for(good thing Hiruzen was there) and possibly enslave the entire world under the matrix genjutsu.
