Well the power of the byakugan is pretty amazing; 360 degree vision and far away vision; this eye could actually be half of what was lost from the original dojutsu of the Sage/Uchiha ancestor. After better understanding the uchiha curse; Maybe the eye was obtained after years of a branch of Uchiha not following the path of darkness so it evolved into byakugan. Light eye instead of dark eye???
