Too avoidable, loses power over range, suigetsu survived it.

Also, it does less damage than the Bijuu dama that is concentrated.

At point blank its actually better, as its focused against the target.

If you aim that ball at the ground near the enemy, then enemy is caught into the blast. Dont go for HS

Well if you put it that way its true , but if you aim at the ground then you're gonna nuke yourself as well

I think that's the beam version of Bijuudama, where the blast occurs in a straight path.
But if that is used in the war currently then it can create problem because shinobis are surrounded from all sides. Hence a compressed ball is good to use. The blast of a ball shaped attack occurs at one spot instead of a straight line.
