Why the hell did burter call himself the fastest being in the universe if there were characters like
King Cold
Frieza
Faster than him? Even captain Ginyu the guy who he is with all the time is faster than him and he still calls him self fastest in the universe.

It was plot induced stupidity or a fallacious claim, most likely a hyperbole or Equivocation since burter claimed to be faster than light than proceeds to say the fastest thing alive without a solid basis, it's not a credible claim to quanitfy later feats and characters since goku clearly outclassed him in that same scenerio.
